The "orgy" scene in Smooth Criminal reminds me of the part in the Black or White video where he destroys a car. My guess is it's supposed to be an abstract dance expression that MJ himself can't really put into words. Lots of martial arts have impractical training as well as far as fighting goes.
@rct3isepic7 жыл бұрын
The lean effect was done with strings and magnets in the music video, when he did it live he used the special shoes. The shoe has a v shaped socket that a screw/nail slides into thus bacically nailing him down so he can lean more than 70°

The guy who did the claymation in the movie is Will Vinton the guy who did the visuals in Return to Oz and the first Claymation film The Adventures of Mark Twain. His works are amazing but sometimes are scary and dark and kids need it when they grew up with it. His studio is now Laika (makers of Coraline and ParaNorman)

A lot of the oddness of Michael came from the fact that he did not have a regular childhood and he was trying to let all his childish tendencies come out. Now do I think he was a child molester, I can't say for sure. There is a lot that supports that but then again there is a lot that goes against it too. All we have is his music. Now what I said does not justify any of his odd behavior in the slightest but its just a little insight.
@kyleday50266 жыл бұрын
actually it was child like tendencies he was very mis understood he understood a lot about children the way others dont.

Since the only evidence I seen against him is word of mouth. Along side the decades long FBI & CIA investigations finding nothing illegal & the accusers not getting their dates and locations right multiple times, I'm inclined to think he's innocent just from that alone. But as much as I hate people being framed for something I believe they didnt do I cant really blame people for thinking otherwise in this case, the dude was socially awkward and naive when it came to anything outside of entertainment industry thanks to his "upbringing" by his abusive father & the type of people he was surrounded by for practically all his life. Innocent or not his life was still a tragedy. I just wish people would leave the dead alone and put their energy on stopping criminals and sex offenders who are still alive and active instead of beating on a literal corpse.
@XXavierTaylor7 жыл бұрын
about what you refer to as the "orgy scene," michael described it as this build up of frustration and getting out everything the oppressed have wanted to shout out to the world. It's akin to when one "feels the Holy Ghost." go to any black church and this won't seem so weird.
@StormDragon77110 жыл бұрын
Artistically and aesthetically, Moonwalker is a wonderful field trip. Have seen those special-effects? They're mind-blowing. Plot-wise, what plot? More than half the movie are music videos, the recycled garbage of MJ's Monty Python cartoons, with Spielberg aftertaste.

Looking at that moment where Micheal Jackson turns into a robot, that's actually amazing for the times, considering it predated T2 by like 3 years

True, I saw the film as about him being an Alien trying to help humans trying to achieve world peace, giving up and deciding to leave earth. HOWEVER, after seeing it more recently, I can clearly understand why I was the only one to get it...

Well technically it was strings. In the Music Video he used Wires and Strings, in the Bad tour the lean was replaced by a dance sequence and for the Dangerous tour, HIStory tour and the This Is It concerts it was a custom shoe mechanism.
@zombieedrea14 жыл бұрын
loved the little "bye!" at the end. XD and I will forever be amazed by The Lean. HOW DOES HE DO THAT?! I don't think it was a special shoe, I think he was just an alien or a robot or something. A robot built to be a fabulous dancer.

At one point in the video it was mentioned that claymation was apparently very big in the 80s. If that's the case, then the craze died out around 90-91, a couple years before I was born. Such a shame! I truly would've loved all the claymation everywhere.

The thing is, people die, it's a natural occurance. The difference between making fun of Michael Jackson and making of Average Joe is that MJ was a very weird person in his life. He was just a walking punch-line for just about everything. Look at the things he's said and done, him having passed away doesn't change any of that.

What does knowing him have to do with anything? The dude held an infant over a balcony, has his nose replaced more times than a Mr Potato-head, and... well, majority of this movie. I don't have to "know him" to think whether or not he was a weird guy. The fact is that he kept himself in the limelight as a celebrity, so he keeps himself open for all kinds of criticism and/or jokes.

Also, i think you're quite MISTAKEN Doug. Michael said in multiple interviews that he only got his nose done because he didn't like being teased by people and it was just too much to deal with. He also claims that many other celebrities did it too (sometimes WAY MORE surgery.) I think it's just what was popular at the time.
