I think you should be fine. When a new character is released, the patch is around one and a half months in CN (correct me if I’m wrong). So you might not get her first day, but you will have time to get more BC during her banner. Edit: In addition, Alpha was released a month after the game was launched (in CN). However, the global schedule might go faster as JP/TW also sped up their schedule (Alpha was released 3 weeks after the game was launched in JP/TW).

Gavin Brown it’s their fault for not making everything the same as CN. It’s not about the skin it’s not about the bc it’s not about the $1. It’s about their principles and how their testing the waters on global. If we let them take advantage of us with these small changes even at launch then imagine what they’ll do in the future. It’s about protecting ourselves as much as we can because there’s very little we can do to protect ourselves in a game that is very fun even if we don’t spend money. Even if we enjoy the game, to see us getting treated “unfairly” is nothing new in global but at the end of the day as time goes by and this “trend” of small changes here and there is just gonna make people start hating the game slowly by slowly. 3:25 you mention about the difference in global and CN bc rewards. Just wanted to point out the CN server newbie event has 140 points in total, whereas global needs 160 to complete. This means we will have additional quests to obtain 20 more points, which would have additional black cards. I'm not saying that could equal the lack of bc in global newbie rewards but we should want until the end and see if they provide extra. Definitely that costume in newbie event is global only (since i have not seen it in either cn/jp/tw).

A dollar can make a huge difference. I'm from the Netherlands and a casual Burger King Meal would cost about 8 euros. I'm currently on holidays in Turkey and a meal here is 30 Turkish Lira (which is 3 euros for me). This might be extremely cheap for me as I could be buying multiple meals a month over here and live like a king. But the average person here doesn't have the luxury to afford spending that much money. Separate from the shenanigans (to put it politely), the gameplay is pretty solid, even for slow-brains like me who need to milk the matrix space to spend a couple seconds to plan out skill pings. Some stages, especially in the second half of Memory Rescue, punish you so hard for screwing up such that when you do succeed, it feels fantastic. The (non co-op, because input lag) gameplay being so satisfyingly crisp is what makes those shenanigans feel like kick in the teeth. Kuro Games theoretically shouldn't need to milk players in the scummy way they're doing it right now, they've already got a great game that also has pre-existing recognition of its excellence. I would think that that alone can keep a playerbase going strong. I mean, hell, Path of Exile is one of many genuinely free to play games that is absolutely massive in terms of content compared to when it started out, but Grinding Gear Games (the devs) have been turning a profit purely from cosmetic purchases alone. Obviously Path of Exile is fundamentally different type of game under a different profit system, but it just goes to show that companies don't need to resort to scummy business decisions in order to achieve long-term success. Or so I believe at the risk of being a naive flower-child.

Some people say that the novice rewards BC got nerfed because of free rank a nanami skin (gray feathers) But even if that’s the case, I’d rather have the full BC card rewards than a skin to increase the chances of getting a character I would like to pull. Anyway I hope they address the concerns of players. EDIT: Dammit. It really was the skin. Ffs I’m so disappointed. The skin isn’t even overly detailed or that amazing it’s honestly not worth it. I’d honestly prefer to get the BC cards over a supposedly free skin that was meant to be for beta players in CN so that I can at least choose what to do with it like idk, choose to buy the freaking same skin they’re offering? Since anyways, taking away the BC cards does not equal a damn free skin because we technically had to pay for it via nerfing the amount we could get. At first I thought the drama was about the vending machine, but yeah... there's a lot of blantant signs of trying to milk the playerbase early. Alchemy Stars Makes PGR Global Look like a joke with how well the respective games treat the playerbase. When we also think about the fact that the content roadmap may be expedited which will strain your black cards as you TRY to get the characters you want.. I'll keep playing PGR, because I enjoy it, it sucks that things like this really pull people away from the actual game but I get it. I can't stand the saying "free = no complaining"... if a game is designed to be f2p, then a certain amount of the content should be free to experience the moment it is released, while the remaining should just require effort playing to be obtained... in the case of a game with gacha-mechanics, the same applies: you should be able to get whatever is featured in the time-limited event/banner before it comes to an end - that is, if you whale, you get it day1, if you're f2p, you get it on the last or so if you're not lucky... otherwise it just builds frustration.

And it literally backfired because PGR devs shot themselves in the foot by making the current event have a pay wall and reducing the black cards you can get at Novice Missions by 1000 because they put a coating as the final reward in which they said it was worth 1000 black cards. And the coating belongs to a character that isn't even in the meta.

Its kinda weird coz that event's week reset was today but us players ( or for me I guess) weren't really given a week to prepare and clear.
