Thank you for this. I have wondered about this topic before. Be angry with the offense, not the offendor. That makes sense. Man, Christian morality can be difficult to navigate.

Yet I do not know how you can completely separate them. If you are a jew and your entire family was murdered by the Nazis I don't know how you can say just be angry at the offense and not the offender. They are inextricably linked.

@TDL-xg5nn It is hard for our prideful sinful egos to separate the offender and the offense, but"inextricably linked"? Not really. The offense could be incredibly evil, but the human offender, as hard as he/she may try, is not pure evil. Indeed, the biggest blessing come from forgiving the most evil offenses, even if we struggle, and at the same we continue to fight those evils with action in God's grace. We can't fight a fiire with gasoline bottles (unforgivenes) attached to us.

THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! “He who is not angry when there is just cause for anger is immoral. Why? Because anger looks to the good of justice. And if you can live amid injustice without anger, you are immoral as well as unjust.” St. Thomas Aquinas “To bear with patience wrongs done to oneself is a mark of perfection, but to bear with patience wrongs done to someone else is a mark of imperfection and even of actual sin.” - Thomas Aquinas

Anger is mentioned many times in the gospels by Jesus, maybe you haven't read it or have forgotten. There's a ton of knowledge we have to acquire by studying and reading the gospels, and we tend to forget. May God bless you. ❤

We are to fight evil inside and outside of us with holy love and holy anger, but not fight those fires with gasoline bottles attached to us (unforgiveness). Satan says holy anger is evil and wants emasculated men and heartless women. Holy anger is that of Jesus and is a direct manifestation of his true love, using violence to set a limit to evil and calling souls to conversion to Jesus. Without holy anger we are blind to real evil and become absorbed by it, and also become blind to what's really good, attacking it.

As someone who has been suffering demonic possession due to severe spiritual and psychological abuse (probably just a bit of witchcraft involved as well)I struggle greatly with this question. I have now lost years of my life literally possessed by demons in my mind and my heart probably the worst places you could be possessed and I'll tell you what It's extremely hard not to be angry at those who using ideas such as anger being an absolute no no, you have to forgive, you have to be merciful to endlessly abuse without even the slightest visible desire to change, I must admit videos like this almost vindicate abusers and say that your abuse was okay. You Mr abuser seeking out the destruction of your fellow man was okay but what isn't okay Is if the fellow man you were trying to destroy ever gets angry ever gets mad ever gets upset about it. Now that, that is completely unacceptable. Feel free to abuse, destroy, kill and murder but how dare that person being abused, killed destroyed ever get upset and attempts to stand up against the evil. How dare an abused person stand up to abuse that is very clearly not going to stop unless that person does something about it. Is this who Christ is? Is he really that unjust (perhaps my frail human perspective coming into play?) Is He really that unreasonable? I want clear answers. Is Christ effectively the advocate of the abusers Murders Killers destroyers the unrepentant?

This is what Ven Fulton Sheen had to say about righteous indignation . "The power to become righteously indignant is not an evidence of the want of mercy and love, but rather a proof of it." "A mind that is never stern or indignant is either without love, or else is dead to the distinction between right and wrong." Why did Ven Fulton Sheen say this? "The moral man is not he who is namby-pamby, or who has drained his emotions of the sterner stuff of justice; rather he is one whose gentleness and mercy are part of a larger organism, whose eyes can flash with righteous indignation, and whose muscles can become as steel in defense, like Michael, of the Justice and the Rights of God."

most of anger is not sinful because Jesus made man angry Jesus directly told me. Jesus never said anger is sinful! sins defined in catholic are not sin at all he said. sins defined in catholic church is influenced by roman laws. am i heretic? poor people are angry much more than rich people.
