Hi Adam, I reckon you approached from the wrong direction, and presented the situation upside down. I never refer to robbing parts or spoiling an engine or whatever it may be. I always refer to it as borrowing, and always and intending to give back the parts at a later date - it sits more comfortably on the shoulders, and people are generally more accepting of the situation. Of course, on the other hand, we have a yard full of cars, tractors and engines with bits missing/on loan to other projects!😂 However, the honest intention is to one day replace the "borrowed" bits.......😻

Nothing wrong with robbing parts from an engine to keep the rarer one running! But there is an issue with blue poly rope! It's not good enough for lifting, it can snap without warning, please get hold of a couple of either small lifting straps or a couple of tow ropes. The vid went a bit blurry as you showed the planes but I'm guessing they are F35 lightnings, if not then I'd say YF22 raptors.

Hi Adam I don't know what your planning on doing with the Dennis lawnmower you have but if your just getting rid of it would you fancy parting with a few bits off it as I've got one mounted on a trolly, I'm in the stationary engine forum I don't know if you would have seen my engine in there but it's posted on there, I need a few bits for it such as the fan assembly, and the carburettor with manifold

I’ve only just noticed what looks like a cracked flywheel hub on the compressor engine too? With all due respect the fixings undo because it’s been previously restored in the not too distant past.

Might I reccommend a set of lifting chains - before you have nasty accident with that rope! A two leg set would be good, four leg would be better.....

Over the years the pieces I used from different engines were called test pieces if engines run then great if not go back there engines hoping they run !! If not run find other engine by time your done you have 20 engines!!lol😊
