Plantiff in case 1 is a bad lawyer. I'm sure the case was mentioning the pandemic, but even without that being an ongoing event, JM made a good point. People work without offices all the time. Working from home is also working without an office. You don't need an office to be a lawyer. Defendent in case 2 is a bad pet sitter. The dude literally saved you money by bringing food for his cat; It's on you to take the instructions given. Whether or not you agree on a diet, it doesn't matter. Follow the instructions given by the owner of the pet. I just pet sit my stepmom's dog and she gave simple instructions, including giving him his hip medicine, along with a bone, and otherwise it was the basic "let him out when he needed". Simple! If he died, I would've never said "ah, he's just a dog", or "eh, there are plenty of strays in Texas, pick one". I hate that man, as someone who is a major cat lover. Don't let him pet sit...

In the first case that defendant has no business being an attorney. Then he tells Doug in the hallway that JM didn't give him an opportunity to speak, where was he during this case? JM Gave him plenty of chances to speak. Smh

Most lawyers don't have any ethics. So she's in her own bubble saying that. I got robbed by lawyers before and they didn't know jack.

I love the defendant in the 2nd case. "It's just a cat " Amen. People and their animals. Get a new cat and get over it.

It's a life. It's a sentient creature with feelings. I agree that a lot of people go overboard and I haven't heard the case yet, but saying "it's just a cat. Get a new one" is very cold. You can't replace a cat because they are just as individual with specific personality traits as humans.

I'm sorry, but as someone who made the difficult choice to have this cat I currently take care of be my last once he's passed (due to the emotional, mental, and otherwise general toll it takes to care for one - something I can't keep up with as someone living alone), I disagree completely. Pets are NEVER "just a pet". That's like saying a dog was aggressive, got shot by someone who was simply trying to walk without even antagonizing them, and someone says "eh, it's just a dog"...Seriously? It was still a beloved family pet!

It's a cat, but it wasn't the defendants call to feed the cat just anything. The gall of his additude and arrogance.
