this could be avoided if the state agreed to lock him up for life. the state wants to kill him (I don't disagree), so the defendant gets enormous leeway in defending himself. after he is sentenced to death, there will be at least a decade of appeals before he is actually killed.

The court is saying that the probative value is not outweighed. These kinds of arguments happen in every trial.

And thousands of pieces of evidence, and tons of video and audio to go through from that day. This is a huge case so yes, it's going to drag out. Fair and Just Punishment is not possible in this case because I feel this killer was in fact aware of what he was doing, aware of how to enter and depart the scene of his Crime undetected, he was in control of his mental facilities, he knew what he was doing was beyond wrong, and did it anyway. My guess is that they'll end up putting him in Protective Custody. It is the state's obligation that the sentence is carried out exactly as ordered, not to cut him loose in Gen. Pop. to be killed by other prisoners.

what even is the point of this , hes guilty af and not coming outa prison what do the defense want? He's getting several life sentences regardless of any plea they make. This entire thing is draining for the families and unfair to the jury to have to listen to this bs
