This is the bass that will break the stereotype that Dingwalls are only good for metal! They are of course great for metal but are sooo much more versatile! Hope this one is a huge success!

Lee Sklar bass already existed my friend. Dingwalls were doing bass stuff long before they were doing metal stuff.

@@andrewneehall5664 you're not wrong I suppose. What's this priced at that's so much more affordable? I got my ng3 for around 2k because of a cosmetic flaw that was unnoticeable.

@@thefriedpiper Around $2,700 for the JT3 5 string, compared with $2,600 for the NG3 5 string or Combustion 5 string. Around $7,000 to $8,000 for the Lee Sklar Signature.

@@andrewneehall5664 well yes I used Lee because he is very much not a metal guy but, my point was the ng3 and combustion were..."affordable" as far as dingwalls go and still more so compared to this one ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Honestly the tone and range of these basses could be fantastic for any style of music. It’s really all about the player and what their intentions for their sound is.

I ordered the JT in Seafoam green but Sweetwater changed the delivery three times. I was first told Spring, then Summer, then Fall. I canceled the order, which is unfortunate because it looks like a great bass.

I just received my Dingwall Rio Dream Bass, it was originally due last September then March. Finally it arrived. It is my first Dingwall and let me tell you it was worth the wait. Just my opinion but you should order it again. I am over the moon with mine and I will also be getting the Green one once they arrive at dealers, really awesome bass.

I’m not sticking up for Sweetwater but they want to sell you this bass as much as you want it in your hands. They can not ship you what they don’t have. Be patient for a bit longer, i am glad that I did. The Dingwall is better than I thought it would be.
