I couldn't believe it myself at first, so I found a speedrunner spreadsheet called "Pokemon Gen 3 Trainers DataSheet". In Saphire/Ruby, there really are no water type moves for team aqua according to this list! HOWEVER, for Emerald, they modified the trainers, pokemon, and move pools, and it just so happens that there is a single aqua member with a single water move: A lonely Wailmer on Mt. Pyre with Water Pulse.

I'd love it if a grass character centred around perfume and scents took Blue's "smell ya later" catch phrase. They'd use it as a more positive thing, just being a weird person you meet along your travels who keeps giving you different perfumes that effect your mons mood, until you find out they're the second last Gym Leader. I'm actually surprised Pokemon hasn't permanently added more care options into the game. I know there have been a few that have come and gone, but very little had stayed.

3:40 This reminds me of a detail I LOVE when I found out about it. Espurr keeps its ears down in order to control its immense psychic power, otherwise it could accidentally end the life of its trainer if it lost control. So in the petting mode of its introductory game, Pokemon X & Y, if you touch its ears it gets very angry at you. The little fellow likes you too much to see you get hurt and lashes out to stop you. How do we know this? Because if you touch/pet the ears of a freshly caught Espurr with no Affection built up, it has no reaction to you touching its ears; whats going to happen is going to happen as far as it cares. 😈

I had a 2ds, the indestructible brick shaped thing, and it did not have a way to sense itself being upsidown, only a way to sense if it was being shaken. I could never evolve my inkay, tried at every level until I had a lvl100 inkay.

I'm not so sure, sure didn't sound like he was joking, and its so obvious that no one would think to explain it or check if other got the joke. So if he just didn't get it, no one would point it out. Team Aqua only wanted to raise sea levels by a controlled amount, which is why they so readily jumped in to help the player when it looked like the world would be flooded. I liked how the original Gen 1 starters were basically the "choose your difficulty slider" most games have. You choose Bulbasaur for the easy breezy start, choose Squirtle for the medium difficulty and Charmander for the hard mode, whereas Pikachu only yellow is extremely hard, but still doable. They kinda had the difficulty in choosing your starter in future games, but none as in your face, as gen 1 which is kind of a shame.
