I had my advanced exam on the 15th of July and spent the night before the exam watching your tips for the speaking part and it was extremely useful. I’d say I speak good English for a non native speaker but sometimes conversations can get pretty stale as I tend to repeat myself so your suggestions helped a lot to keep things “fresh”. I passed with a 206 out of 210 and considering I basically had to prepare the whole thing in a week I feel extremely proud. Thank you so much for your content, I’ll come back for sure if I feel brave enough to take the proficiency

This word 'only' is one of the most challenging ones. Affects the word order, and depending on where you put it, can also completely change the meaning

Hi Ben. I have a question not relating to this topic. I hope you don’t mind. When quoting someone when do you put the subject after verb? Ex: “I like to dance,” she said. “but not with him .” Here is it “she said” or “said she”? What is the grammar rule here?

Ben, I took the CAE exam almost a month ago, the results came in a week ago and I failed by two points.. I got 178 :( honestly I feel sad and dissapointed at the same time, because my expectations were pretty high and franky, the computer-based style seemed to me quite organised, yet still I didn't pass. Until this day, I still can't process the fact that I got 150 points from reading part, which means I filled zero correct answers? I don't know.. but maybe Cambridge could send all of us the task, with a watermark on it, so people can actually see what they got wrong and all the mistakes in general. I was considering a second take this fall, because I had been studying a special 1-year "school course" that prepares students for B2, C1 and C2 exams and I am afraid that I will forget most of my vocabulary and knowledge, if not practised regulary, so thererefore I would like to try the CAE exam again. Do you think it is a good idea? Maybe you can perhhaps make a video about that, so students won't be demotivated or dissapointed if they don't pass their chosen level? That would be nice!
