Hi Ben, I took the CAE exam two weeks ago after only approximately 10 days of preparation. I passed it with a score of 195/210. I watched many of your videos and I must admit they were fundamental to me. No way would I have passed if it weren't for you! So thank you and let me tell you that you have the best content out here concerning Cambridge exams, really! Cheers from Italy 😉

Hey Ben, You probably read this all the time, but I wanna thank you for helping me pass my CPE exam. Didn't get a stellar result, but then again I didn't prepare much. Keep up the amazing work!

Thanks Ben for the video. I had heard about waver, because it was used in an English singable translation of Gaetano Donizetti's opera Maria Stuarda on Mary Stuart in the scene where Elisabeth decides to sign Mary's condemnation to death, proclaming she"'ll never change or waver". Anyway, this shows that almost everything in English can be a source of daily vocabulary, even operas, so immerse yourself in English.

I question to Ben - I'd appreciate a lot if you could answer it :) Why do you pronounce the S at beginning of words with an SH-sound? e.g. for structure you say SH-tructure, for student you say SH-tudent, demon-SH-trate, etc. Is it a common thing in British English? Is it a particular regional pronunciation perculiarity?

Hi, Ben. I know that if you say it it must be right but why do my ears hurt when I hear "take a decision" instead of "make a decision"? Is one used more often than the other? Cheers, mate.
@tothepointenglishwithben.
@tothepointenglishwithben. 9 ай бұрын
Both are correct and basically have the same meaning. Perhaps "take" is slightly more common but there's not much difference.
