please don't throw away the broken fenton or other quality glass. sell it in crafters lots if you would. those of us with tumblers will break them up further, tumble the pieces to look like sea glass and make things out of them. the most popular thing is christmas trees that are lit from the inside with fairy lights.

Anytime I end up with broken or chipped animals I put them in my flower pots and flower beds. I have quite a few birds. Ducks. Dogs n Cats in there. I like them. I hate to throw away something flawed when I buy a box lot at the auction.

A Glassy Baby is a small glass candle holder (about the size and shape of a stemless wine glass) that 21:44 are beginning to find their way to thrift stores. If the pricing people don't know about GB, they are usually price them relatively low, as they are small; I hear they sell for $100+, so everyone gets excited when they find one!

Yes not everyone likes the same thing. I don't care for glass. I may pick up something to use for serving at holidays or give to neighbors with treats on it. But I pay $1 or less. I do like purses jewelry and baskets. Things that don't bring her joy. But it sure makes me happy. ❤

I too remember the black light posters in the 70's. We had a few as well and a huge black light that hung on the wall to light them all up. We also had a black light in our fish tank and items glowed florescent in the tank. We were the lucky ones who grew up in the 70's. 😁

In high school when we'd have our Spring Concert, our costumes were often made with neon colored fabric and they would glow with a black light. No uranium needed.

My daughter has two doll's teasets in boxes, like the one you found. Thay belonged to her 93 year old Granny. One set is in excellent condition, the other, that her Granny loved more, has a couple of pieces missing but has a tin tea strainer and teaspoon with it. Very occasionally they come out for supervised tea party for my 3 year old grandaughters Ruby and Tilly.

You can clean oils with a soft cloth and saliva. Learned that tip from a museum restorer and tried it and it works. Go figure,!
