My son was a wrestler for 4 years in high school and he wrestled some extremely good wrestlers. I think his worst match was against the state champion in four year's and that was difficult for him being a male. I agree, up to a point. Some of these girls displayed some excellent wrestling skills. And I'll concede that at younger ages, the girls probably can compete SOMEWHAT with boys, as neither has really kicked into high gear in their bodies developing. I'd say most of the kids in these clips are right on the cusp of the girls being able to hold their own. Once testosterone kicks into a boy's life, it's all over, as skills alone cannot compete with skills AND brawn. Cudos to the girls who put in the work and developed skills, but in a way I think it's a hard way for them to learn that in some things they CAN'T complete against bigger, faster and stronger boys. We separated male and female sports ages ago, but for some reason we are now teaching our daughters "It's ok honey, you can do EVERYTHING as well as a boy can". IDK I wrestled from the age of 9 by the time I was a freshman I was wrestling at 191 down from 225 from football season weight, at 15 I was benching close to 300 and squatting 500. by my sophmore year I could pin anyone on my team within a round, I would have toy'd and punished any female who got on the mat with me though it never happened, imagine a female weighing 191, they would have been all fat, I have never seen a healthy porportioned female weigh that much regardless I did that to any male I wrestled aswell, I almost never pinned a oponent rather I would technical them off the mat scoring 15 unanswered points which to me is utterly embarassing them and taking their soul from them.....

@LikeToWatch772 жыл бұрын
Wrestling isn't fully co-ed. The vast majority of girls that get into wrestling just want to wrestle and would prefer to wrestle other girls but will wrestle boys to get experience. The programs are different in each US state and you'd have to go state by state to figure out their status. For example the MMA champion Miesha Tate wrestled in high school in Washington State back in 2001-2005. By her senior year Washington had a girls wrestling state meet and she won the title. There has been a gradual build up over time. The trend has been that first a girl or two would just go to wrestling practice with the boys. Then they'll get into some matches. Depending on how many girls get into wrestling in a state the state scholastic athletics board may sanction the sport and start a state championship meet for the girls.

The thing is in Middle school these same girls might have had an advantage as their testosterone level likely have jumped to 15-30 while the boys might have as little as 2-6 and many of the physical advantages men have have not developed fully. Girls tend to hit puberty first and go through a growth spurt before the boys. In high school, though, these same girls are now facing much stronger boys that have testosterone levels in the 200-500 range... more than 10-30 times as much. The upper body and hand strength of these boys will increase giving them a genetic advantage pound per pound. With a similar skilled opponent the boy will almost always win. Typically there has to be a significant variation in BMI or skill for the girl to be more likely to win and by high school level sports this is unlikely. When this comes to transgenders in sports his all points to a solid 15% advantage in physical sports or more and even with hormone blockers this only drops by a few percentage. There is still a significant advantage... even after years of treatment. We separate the men and women in sports for a reason and if we now remove that for certain people then there is no reason to separate them as women will likely lose to a transgender of similar skill pretty much every time and they will soon erase every record women have made in these sports. Maybe we could go to mandatory coed teams, but many high school sports are VERY competitive and are a foothold in a good college and/or scholarship. Watering down the sports could seriously hamper the availability of these scholarships. There is just no fair way to make everybody happy, so instead of upsetting half the athletes the Transgenders need to either transition when they are older and not in high school or not focus on sports. Which is more important. You say that is not right, but is it right to all the other women and girls a single transgender is competing against? No. Be unfair to 1 or 50... which makes more sense.
@scottjimenez6532 жыл бұрын
Agree with you. There is no physical comparison, just contrast. To say gender is fluid is to ignore biology. It is in the genes, not the mind. To have boys in girls locker rooms is child abuse, sexual harassment, and sexual abuse. If something happens, then the school officials should be sued and held personally liable. A locker room, a playing field, and combat should not be subject to social experiments by weak-minded, immoral leftists holding onto a liberal illogic.

there should at least be a stipulation that they have their own transgender records. its unfair to let them take the women's records. there should be a biologically born category or asterisk or something. all of these points are valid even if the percentages and numbers are pulled from somewhere the sun doesn't shine.

Well, I think, basically, it comes down to whether a woman is able to legitimately compete for and win a place _on_her_team_. If she can legit win that place, and does get manhandled (by a guy) in a contest, then presumable any guy she out-competed to get onto the team wouldn't be expected to have competed any better -- and I don't see how her being dominated (if she is being dominated) by a guy, while doing her best, is pitiable, unnatural or immoral, in a way that a less able guy (doing his best), getting dominated by a more able guy, is pitiable, unnatural or immoral.

@@biggains1 Incorrect. Girls beat boys all the time at the High School and Junior High School levels (and lower). There's literally hundreds of videos of the matches all over You Tube. Heck, Helen Marlouis is a female olympic medalist in wrestling and she lost her first 31 matches against boys in little league wrestling before training her ass off and then slowly but surely getting good enough to where she beat them routinely in competition and in sparring. So ya, here's the thing. First boy: sub par skills for age. Maybe concerned where to put hands at times. Couldn't do much, even being a tad stronger. First girl: Perhaps closer to age appropriate skill level, for boys. Wouldn't give up or give her back to mat. On par strength, with boy. That would all change at or just before collegiate level. Like, by a lot. A LOT LOT. Still how Americans have allowed this to become a thing, along with so very many other nonsense, shows how the level of coward has dramatically increased in my fellow Americans. We. Are. Doomed.
