What an awesome build! The shapes, wood, veneer...amazing. Loved your leaving the glass cutting shot in there...I have often had the same look! Ha! Keep up the great work Ben!

Thank John, the glass was an unseen difficulty in the project. As always, it looks far easier on youtube. Ha

I you’d ever consider sharing some of the plans for this frame, those of us with far, far less artistic abilities would love to take a shot at this! Wow. Love that frame!

I would love to be able to provide plans for my builds. Considering I draw them all the old fashion way, it makes it more difficult. Plus, I only draw what needs to be drawn ( joinery, curves, etc.) for everything else I like to leave it open for changes along the way. This can make build plans difficult, because I would have to go back and redraw a finished product, with the added revision. I've had it in mind, and will absolutely let you know if I decide to pursue it. Thanks again for the compliments, really glad you like the frame.

Just a note: after you have scored the glass, wet the score mark with some water. This hydrolyses the etched mark and helps create a clean break. At least that's what we learned in scientific glass blowing.

Awesome! I'll try this next time. Thanks for the advise.

Just thought I'd let you know, I tried your technique on another project and it works perfectly. Thanks again.

I’ve watched 3 of your videos now, the two "Romancing The Craft" and this one. The only reason I got into woodworking was to make A2 frames for my photographs as I was fed up of people putting my archival images in nasty generic frames. I will definitely be "influenced" by this video. May I ask: do you consider yourself to be a craftsman, artist as I'd describe you as both. You videos are of a different standard, not just because of their content but also how they are produced. I read a comment on one of your other videos that you are undersubscribed, I totally agree and have done my bit by adding one more with the bell rung. It’s a great image too, but be careful using glass out of old frames as there’s usually no UV protection with them.
