If I can’t charge my players real money for a meta currency they can spend to roll on a D1000 table for the bunny girl costume equippable by their favourite NPC companion what the hell am I even doing with this?

That chibi race is really creative. If you can control them individually while separated that can give you a lot of flexibility in and out of combat. Also you can reflavor this as 3 kobolds in a trenchcoat, 10/10

As someone who kickstarted it, i really enjoyed it. Id give the recommend. With those spirit tokens the combat feels dynamic even when its not your turn. (Also, the monks are absolutely awesome)

It isn't going away anytime soon. All four of the tutorial missions have been released to backers and will be available shortly and a full-length campaign book is in the works. There are also beginner guide videos right here on KZbin (which were not available when this video was released).

Once per session you can ask the GM if there's any treasure. However, if you open the shop and spend $5, you can recharge your usage of this.

I hope Cloudbraker survives past this initial push. I feel like its the gateway game that D&D weebs need to realize there is a life outside the d20. I just don't think it's user friendly enough to be that game.

You read and say "This isn't D&D!" but then you read it more and that eerie feeling of deja vu shows up. Is that bad? Good? All personal I guess.

I for one think it's a great way to get people who only ever play DnD to dip their toes into the greater sphere of TRPGs without immediately getting out of their comfort zone of what they already understand. The system is great and feels different enough in combat (OoC is pretty much just DnD with a 2d6 however).

dming something with this many tokens sounds like hell for newbies and veterans alike and having the book flip back and forth like that makes it's a chore to do a character, it doesn't even make me want to read the book for fun. maybe with a bit of formatting and some rewrites i can see this being a interesting game for people that aren't comfortable with roleplaying and just want to go in, do a mission or two, cash out at the guild and fuck about in the tavern. not enough to content with DnD but enough to get its foot out the door and not get stuck on wet cement

I like everything about cloudbreaker except 1 thing and thay one thing stops me from playing: the minimum unit of space is 10m on the side (around 30ft) That means if your party gets into combat and they werent split apart across multiple buildings you should ALL be within melee range of any and all enemies This is extra silly when you consider the game sets up a "Backline-Frontline-EnemyBackline" setup but any conventionally set up closed space should be a single Zone, also 1 zone being the smallest unit means the most basic AOE spells are 1 Zone too, so you'll catch yourself and your friends in the crossfire if you cast anything inside of a room thats any smaller than 60ftx30ft to fit *at least* 2 Zones The extreme use of tokens seems like a hassle but one that the GM may get used to once they learn what the long list of possible effects are by heart On the product side of things the base book already comes with a selection of monsters and I cannot praise it enough for that, TTRPGs that simply go "here are the stuffs make every single enemy from scratch" are imho 100x more anti "GM" than any convoluted pile of tokens Tl;dr My brain is to small for 10mx10m to be the minimum unit of space and I so wish it wasnt the case so I could actually enjoy being a weird ahh anime character

None of these wanime games will ever come close to BESM.
@proxy909097 күн бұрын
I believe OVA (OVA 2?) is better BESM than BESM and neither off those feel like you can play them for more than a session, but thats just my take because those "you can be anything" games dont apeal to me much when making saitama is just as effective as saitama in the anime By the way even tho I was SUPER hyped about Cloudbreaker I havent been able to play it cause my brain cannot "suspend its disbelief" to understand basic combat positioning.... Its... Its bad, the minimum "unit" of space is 10m thats like 30ft! So that means if a fight breaks out in a bar positioning becomes meaningless, everything in that room is within melee range and any AOE spells hit everyone, your allies, the enemies, yourself, I genuinely cannont understand how to run this even tho the flavour-mechanics combo of its magic system is one of my favorites I've seen

I'm kinda confused man where does the gacha come into this and why was gacha put into this??
@NotepadAnon7 ай бұрын
No Gacha in the game, lore and the "Look" have that "Gacha" element to it. Every character looks like some variation of some mid range Chinese Gachagame.
@GodOfMoxie7 ай бұрын
westerners try to make a anime game... always goes wrong. But adding gacha game elements is a must, instead of a need minimum stats to pick paladin let your players gamble money to try and unlock new classes during gameplay. Adding legacy game gimmicks is tight.
