I unfortunately knew a guy who engaged in this "content" on Discord. It took the police months to formally charge him after searching his home, and two years for him to go to jail. He was a free man, unmonitored, unrestrained, for two years after they knew what he'd been doing. A friend even reported to the cops that he was still using social media and they did nothing about it. The justice system is not fast. I only take relief knowing he'll be behind bars for several years and on the registry for life after that.

@@321Jarn you're correct about it not being an excuse. however, schizophrenia is a form of mania in which you cant separate some parts of reality from whats in your head. what youre thinking of is what i have, paranoid schizophrenia. paranoid schizophrenia causes auditory or visual hallucinations that are caused by thinking people are out to get you. some schizophrenics have different levels of hallucinations and delusion, its not always a blanket hallucination either, it can also solely cloud memory. personally i have a less severe case, and i can still fully tell real from fake and my hallucinations are minor. no matter how severe though, it can only contribute to violence in the moment, not premeditated actions

I think he ended up shooting his dad back or something- I'll have to find the video again and I'll link it.

@@sandstorm217 possibly, BUT recruiters have been known to tell people to lie about their physical/mental conditions when signing up. now im not sure how much background checks happen by the army after you sign up. but yeah even my roommate was told to lie to get in by the recruiters that came to his highschool, was about 8 years ago for him but would not be surprised if it still happens, cause as Hawkeye from M.A.S.H put it, the recruiters are like vultures and want you badly

Giving a perspective as an adult with a teenage daughter who watches this stuff to warn her about these losers, and also as a lawyer: 1. I need more information before criticizing the judge. Remember, he's still innocent until proven guilty at that point. I'm curious about any limitations that were put on him on bond (ankle monitor, not using the internet). If there were none, there's my problem. 2. He is gonna have a *rough* time in prison. Search up Larry Lawton's videos on what they did to pedos in federal prison. 3. He's almost certainly going to die in prison. There's no parole in the federal system, and he has to serve 85% of his sentence before being considered for early release. Look at this man. You think he's going to survive another 26 years? In prison? 4. I'm really glad the internet was in its infancy when I was a teenager, because I fit the profile for people who get victimized.
