Nothing and No One Is Sacred: Narcissistic Remorselessness

Speaking of empathy, I have witnessed narcissists who display empathy towards one person but display complete lack of empathy towards another. At one of my former jobs, female narcissists display empathy towards male workers who have wives or girlfriends. But, on the other hand, display complete lack of empathy towards single male workers. Therefore, it’s kind of confusing but, I am learning about narcissism as much as I can ( I am 62 years old now).

Thank you. Realizing every relationship I have had in my life was probably a narcissist including the husband I am separated from and the man I am involved with now are narcissists. I have felt like I have been dealing with Dr. Jeckel and Mr. Hyde with them both. I don't trust my judgement any longer and I am resigned to the fact I may spend the rest of my life alone. 💔 I wish I could free my mind and heart of all this hurt.

You must be an empath because narcissists tend to target empathetic people just like sharks smelling blood. I know this because I am an empath as well.

Secondary Psychopath. I re-watched 'Psycho' after my situationship with a covert narcissistic. It rings bells, & I understand more & more now. They are always single.

My ex narcissistic wife finally hit the wall. She is in panic mode because it is difficult for her to secure new supply now that she has lost her good looks. I have been single now 6 years and very happy.

I’m now dealing with a hostile narc neighbour who has bullied and harassed me for nearly four years. I even managed to get an injunction taken out against her a few months ago but she hasn’t stopped. She tells everyone that the judge was bribed… Now she’s incited another neighbour to harass me as her flying monkey. It’s hell, and I’ve already had a lifetime of narcissistic abuse (mother then ex husband, plus others). I can’t even move out. My flat is council ‘supported’ housing for vulnerable tenants, nestled among private rental flats. This move was meant to be a safe refuge from the abusive landlord at my last flat. It’s always out of the frying pan into the fire whenever I try to escape from abuse. Nobody ever holds narcs accountable, which bolsters their deluded belief that they’re not doing anything wrong.

Remember that your dealing with a predator, they don't care about nothing, get off the rollercoaster ride, you are the light at the end of the tunnel, you just have to go no contact and stay no contact completely, and work on yourself and things will be so much better, but you must give yourself a chance and go no contact and work on yourself, the fog will break and going no contact will break the trauma bond, and you can really enjoy the better things of life, you just have to make the decision in your life to go no contact.👍🙏 Kim thanks for the video 🦋

This was spot on from my ex. He tried to destroy me and my children. He verbally abused me. Verbally abused my children. Pit us against each other. Came and go as he pleased, was unfaithful. Never offered help with our new born son. Treated me as an object and even told me he owned me during the few times we were intimate because I just couldn’t bear to be intimate with him after all the prolonged abuse. It was hell. Then I got very sick and he kicked me out of his house days after. I am 2 weeks out of his house now and on my road to recovery in every way. These people are soulless walking vampires. They love no one, not even themselves. They covet everything they do not have. They do not change.

The comment at @5:26 is almost verbatim from the narc I dated 12 years ago. He used me as a prop so he could navigate through life and leave a path of destruction in his wake. It took me a while to understand why his ex-wife's parents paid for her divorce from him. Even his two sons have abandoned him.

So children who were born to narcissistics are also likely to have this dissorder?

It’s possible, yes. But just as with any other inherited genetic conditions, it doesn’t mean each child born into a family unit with a narcissistic parent will be born a narcissist. From what I can tell, it has more to do with their brain structure. This is why two children growing up in the same home can develop into totally different people, i.e., one can be a narcissist while the other can be caring and compassionate.

I heard in one video that lack of fear is the ine major sign distinguishing between narcissist and psychopath (psychopats don't experience fear, while narcissists do) Would you agree?

That's one of the signs, yes...although most of what we see in mainstream psychology isn't complete because it doesn't factor in the neurobiology of these two conditions. Without the brain scans (which honestly, we generally won't have access to) is speculation. The true experts as far as psychopathy/narcissism are neuroscientists and neuropsychologists because they do have access to brain scans and specific studies. A lot of what we see in mainstream psychology is often biased, outdated, and inaccurate.
