Judging from other comments I've seen, I think the only way you can like this movie is if you saw it when you were 6 years old or you're a huge stoner. I fall into both categories and I like this movie! It is not a comedy, it is just a trippy movie where a bunch of weird stuff happens.

They should have stuck with the original name of Valkenvania, used the original creepy posters to promote it, released it in autumn near halloween and got Danny Elfman to score the film. It would have made way more sense as a sort of beetlejuice style horror comedy. It still wouldn't have been great but it might have been regarded as an ok flick

I remember watching this movie once about twenty five years ago. Before watching your video, I was trying to remember anything about the movie. All that stuck in my mind about the movie was something about rollercoaster haunted hosue and there was a music video which zoomed in on Demi Moore in that outfit. There are similar TFTC episodes. Tim Curry's prosthetic-heavy multiple roles, terrorizing Ed Begley, Jr., in Death of Some Salesmen, reminds me of Aykroyd here...and a bit of John Candy, as well, since two of his three roles are women. And Let the Punishment Fit the Crime, with Catherine O'Hara and Peter MacNicol, is about a lawyer who gets pulled over in a small town with REALLY strict traffic laws.
