@@draykohunter6805 They didn't have a good relationship with her, especially the father. The conversations between them and her in this episode were a bit different to their conversations in the comics but the shows relationship between them (over all) is pretty close to the comics I'd say.

And, lol, I'm clearly not referring to golden age Superman and new52 Superman, one written in a limited way because of the era and the other so poorly written that they did an event to get it out of the way and go back to post-crisis Superman. I'm clearly referring to the post-crisis Superman that is still going strong from 1985 to the present day. Part of why she didn't get to show off as much in season 1 is budget as the majority of time and effort went into the brutal parts featuring Onmi Man--but also within the allotted scenes she had airtime she is choosing to either cover her teammates with shields or receiving fire while she's protected to allow her teammates to move. In season 1 we see that she's the sort to prioritize helping instead of fighting which is consistent with her "I want to do something that matters" which is why towards the end of season 1 she is lecturing Mark that he shouldn't just quit being hero that he has the ability so it should be put to use. She is also the only hero in season 1 featured helping normal people through her powers after she runs away from home and lives in her tree house. Personally given her upbringing I think its amazing her base instinct is to help rather than harm---she could have easily been the most dangerous villian

For example, pretty much every dollar bill in any denomination has an individual 8-digit serial number. If Eve tries to make a bill, it's very likely _going_ to have a serial number identical to a bill that already exists.

Why did the writer/s change the father so suddenly, the father was written so terribly in this show. At the start, the father was so supportive, he was there with his wife crying in the room with her when they lost their child, then they wrote in random friction and conflict later to try to make things more "interesting".
