I call this the “ Eat like my grandparents diet” ! Very robust, healthy, happy folks. Until 1980’s they ate buckets of lard, then Crisco and heart disease came along.

I started truly nourishing myself last month. I’m 4 months postpartum and exclusively breastfeeding. Yesterday it hit me…I’m not bloated nearly as much. I’m much happier and calmer…my skin is practically glowing and my milk is rich and fatty and my son sleeps so much more peacefully. I’m amazed how quickly the changes are happening. All I did was change my butter to grass fed, my non dairy products for organic raw dairy, my breads for sourdough and my meat and veggies to organic. No more bad oils. Veggies every day. Soaked oats for breakfast. It’s incredibly satisfying. I basically went cold turkey because I just felt so bleh. Now I feel vibrant. I sleep peacefully. Oh! And my pp hair loss completely stopped! ❤️❤️. Thank you for sharing the life changing information.

Thank you so much for what you do. I've been struggling to find the proper and ethical way of eating and it turns out that this is actually achievable. We can consume raw milk, eggs and honey without any animals suffering. In fact, we can help them have a great life with us on our farm and share the benefits - this is symbiosis instead of slavery and murder. And it's not just health of the physical body but also of our spiritual essence. Clean conscience is just as important as a full stomach. God bless you all

Not sure how you are going ty get milk humanely. What will you do with all the calves whose food you are taking and what will you do when you have more calves than you can take care of?

@@Ljblossom Yeah, you're right. I guess the only way is to milk a wild cow while she's feeding her children. But that's probably not worth the effort anymore. I've recently realised that human body can absolutely thrive when we feed it 100% raw plants. And that's karmically a clear conscience.

@@Ljblossom A cow can be separated from the calf overnight, milked in the morning, and the calf put back with the mother all day without any detriment to the calf or cow. Mammals (including humans) make milk to meet their needs, so if a cow is milked in addition to raising her calf, her body will be triggered to make sufficient milk. Hope that helps!

I started following the WP diet 2 weeks ago, I’m already healthy but I wanted to enhance my health even more. I have to say that Besides loosing weight, I became way calmer and happier. It’s a big myth that animal fats make you gain weight. I lost weight while eating red meat, pork sausage and over 12 eggs and 500g of butter per week. I also started eating more buffalo mozzarella/burrata. And I definitely feel satisfied after a meal.

I can see the difference in my children, my oldest has a thin face and crooked teeth, my third child I ate an almost entirely meat diet during pregnancy and he’s got a wide face, and perfect teeth and he’s so strong

So, if we are members of the white race, Western European, is it logical to assume that our ancient ancestors also had wider skulls, round pelvic opening etc.? I was just wondering because (and I haven't read Price's book) he seems to focus on native / non-white races. But there are definite differences between the two (northern/western European races vs. South American or African, etc.).

Hi Beth! We reached out to the presenter an were able to get the following answer for you: Weston Price studied two European groups--the primitive Swiss and primitive Gallic peoples. The Swiss had wider, rounder faces, but both groups had wide palates with plenty of room for the teeth. Hope that helps!

I may have missed it, but did Sally come back later to touch on her point around the 10:00 mark, when she said that protein powders present a very specific danger? I'm concerned as I do use them to supplement or flavour certain recipes from time to time. Thank you.

Most protein powders are not isolates; you will know if it it is stated on the label. Beyond the type of protein (isolate vs. non-isolate, etc.) it is important to choose high-quality protein supplements. It better not use them ..i used them many year's for my workout.. it's temporary results if gaining muscle ..but my depression was also high .. stopped few years ago ..with natural foods like keto/carnivore style diet with intermittent fasting .. feeling lot better and physically mentally..

Can you toast the Sourdough Bread or will this diminish the beneficial bacteria? Also, how would this bread sit with someone struggling with histamine intolerance? Thank you.

Hello! There are no beneficial bacteria left once it is baked. The beneficial bacteria exists in the dough and this is part of why sourdough has reduced gluten compared to other breads. The Lactobacillus bacteria predigest the prolamine sequence of proteins (the gluten proteins are one type of prolamine) making it more digestible and less immune reactive. You have to save some of the starter dough in order to keep the bacteria alive. As far as histamine intolerance, there is not a one size fit all diet, but sourdough breads are generally not on the list of recommendations for those with histamine intolerance.

Hi Lexi! Nourishing traditions is focused on encouraging the consumption of nutrient-dense & properly prepared foods. While the pro metabolic diet emphasizes many of the same foods as the Nourishing Traditions philosophy, the emphasis with the pro metabolic diet is on tailoring these foods to specifically support your metabolism. In summary, Nourishing Traditions encourages nutrient dense/properly prepared foods for general overall health, while pro metabolic diet encourages the same foods with a focus on metabolism.

Where did you get the information that 1 1/2 tap of unrefined salt is 800mg of magnesium?? I would love to buy some of that salt. Redman real salt doesn't even say it has any where near that much magnesium on nutrition label. The Salt fix book states you'll get 40mg from Celtic sea salt at 4-6g of sodium almost 3 tsp a day.

Hello! Here is the presenter's answer: On the salt, Celtic sea salt is 10-11% magnesium. 1 1/2 tsp salt is 8 grams so it would be 80 mg of magnesium. I don't know about other salts. Hope that helps!

Leafy greens are high in calcium. You don't need a supplement. Consume natural foods instead. They contain the proper balance of minerals already.

I disagree with that. Carbs are important for energy. My brother, who was already strong, gained more muscle when he started eating more carbs. I also gained a lot of muscle when I started eating stuff like oatmeal, raisins, and potatoes, and of course, doing hundreds of push ups. Carbs are also important for muscle recovery. Outside of carbs, I also eat stuff like eggs, grass-fed butter, and a bit of meat, for the sake of protein and fats.

Organic/Natural Meat, Potatoes, Vegetables, Fruits, Whole Wheat Cereals and Breads, Distilled Water. The above List is the basics of eating properly. Nothing has changed about eating the proper nutritional foods since forever. The word "Diet" just means Food. Oh, you have to change your Diet - Oh you have to change your Food. If you’re on a Diet then you’re on Food. It's just remarkable how women are emotionally controlled by negative advertising from the "Diet Industry". Diets may put you in a state of Ketosis - Ketosis is a normal metabolic process, something your body does to keep it working. When it doesn't have enough carbohydrates from food for your cells to burn for energy, it burns your fat instead. As part of this process, it makes ketones. If you're healthy and eating a balanced (Good) diet, your body controls how much fat it burns, and so you don't normally make or use ketones. But when you cut way back on your calories or carbs, your body will switch to Ketosis for Energy. Like those people on Tv survival shows, they don't have normal good diet and their brain automatically says We have to survive. Were now going to use up all the body's fat and turn it into the energy needed to keep a state of Homeostasis. The following are Symptoms of KETOSIS: Fatigue, Insomnia, Weight Loss, Decreased Physical Performance, Toilet Trouble. Do you remember most of the survivalists had toilet issues about excreting, and had to tap out? Your brain lets you know when you have had enough to eat. You know we weren't made by our GOD to look like we were just skin and bones. Having Fat stored is part of being healthy. It's just not good to eat your way into a state of ketosis. Always have foods that still have their nutrients. Don't consume anything chemical whether it is Blue No.5 or a chemical sweetner. Restricted diets cause you harm. With women their hormones will be off balance. Now who wants their 200 hormone and hormone like substances not working properly? Not one woman or one man. 44:59 No way does 1.5 tsp of unrefined salt have 800mg of magnesium in it. Celtic salt has the most and only has about 30mg.

In Pakistani culture Kaleeji - made from liver Buttain - curry made from interior of cow's stomach Kapooray - made from goat's testicles Animal tongue sandwiches. Chicken claw soup. The modernisation of the way we cook has also made people of these rich cultures in the developing world shun their traditional cuisines. People may mock and laugh at these people but we really need to learn from them. My question is whether you can be vegetarian and still reap the benefits or are animal fats crucial? Can we benefit from seafood by taking supplements instead? Is phytoplankton as bioavailable as seafood?

We reached out to the presenter and received an answer for you: A vegetarian diet that includes very high quality raw dairy foods, high quality eggs and hopefully some seafood will work for some people. But if you are a person needing a lot of zinc and iron in your diet, red meats are a must. Hope that helps!

It’s not surprising the traditional diets were healthier just stand back and look at how skewed and artificial it’s become and so many people unhealthy that includes our pets and vets try to convince us that a bag full of processed dried up biscuits is the best for our dogs health . When is the world going to wake up

@@tamar2450 there have been no long term studies on vegan diets. Take a look at sv3rige’s channel… many interviews of Long term vegans… the “results” (premature aging, tooth decay, digestive issues, in some cases far worse issues) speak for themselves

It is a puritanical diet. It's strongly influenced by the Seventh day Adventist church, who appear to be pushing the window of acceptability farther to the plant based side of the spectrum
