Kimi FW I was playing overwatch and just browsing general KZbin when the notification came in. Plus, given that the first nova girls comic had Lewis confess that he dropped the New 52 Titans series because of the writer harassing a woman during a panel, and just how bad the comic in that review was, I anticipated that this comic would be as bad or even worse. Tbh, I must thank you for introducing me to the Fumetti line of comics. It gave me inspiration for a major school passion project, and it was really fun to create, and I must heavily thank you for showing me this line of comics and in particular Darths and Droids. For those not old enough to remember, Hefty trash bags once had an ad campaign where they'd show other trash bags breaking open, with a voiceover saying "Wimpy, Wimpy, Wimpy" and then the Hefty bag staying together with the voiceover saying, "Hefty, Hefty, Hefty". Hence the character's name.

- Mariano Nicieza began writing for Marvel Comics in 1993 working on various short stories in anthology titles. In 1995, he penned a story in the Malibu Comics DS9 "Ultimate Annual", paving the way for his work on five issues of the Star Trek line when it moved back to Marvel in 1997. If it's a trade, it goes on the shelf behind me. Others get put into binders. Originally I'd sell them at conventions, but nowadays I have actual merchandise, soooo yeah I just kind of hang on to most of them.

In short...this comic is the poster child for why being self-aware doesn't fix things. Intentionally bad things, are still bad things. Breaking the fourth wall, isn't inherently clever or funny. And drawing attention to your flaws, while there CAN be fun jokes made along those lines...it definitely doesn't work when you just KEEP doing it.

Okay, so my ruminations after watching this yesterday and eating a tuna pasta bake tonight: 1) The title font looks like that for the Gerry Anderson Space: 1999 series, but with 3D extrusion 2) In that vein, Derek-4? Could that be a reference to Derek Meddings, a long time model work guy for Gerry Anderson's productions, as well as the model work on some of the Bond films (Goldeneye was the last he worked on before he died)? If I'm right, those are fairly obscure sci-fi references.
