House lookin good! I read in an old book how some gypsies managed high winds. They had two portable poles they would set up angled down to ground from top of caravan on leeward side of winds. This kept them from being blown over. Might be useful to have something to deploy in extreme winds if you are not able to get to a sheltered area. Just a thought. Blessings.

No the whole point of my more efficient wagon design is firstly those were wooden topheavy with wheels under them my design has such a low center of gravity and its shorter that with its sides are closed down it needs no additions angled tarp pitched over it like thise needed but thanks for the suggestion and opportunity to educate people that this olden way is better than the old way

What a PERFECT video for me to see from you! I just got my welding helmet last week so hands on practice begins finally. Didnt know/heard/read that anywhere either so again, thank you for sharing your invaluable knowledge through experience with us! Ill be practicing on an old 100 year old smaller GEM wood cook stove and camper van conversion, yet longterm goal is a wagon like yours with my sheep. Welding experience/know how seemed like a intuitional poke i needed to follow through on. Welder was bought and waiting for 3 years now 😢 ...youve encouraged me through so much through the years...much deep gratitude and Love. ~April

I have multiple hives and been keeping bees almost 15 years. Bee keeping is expensive and has a steep learning curve that typically results in spending far more than you initially anticipated. Flow hives are a gimmick. Hives are hives heavy 100lbs is normal. Internal sugar water feeders could spill unless kept half full when mobile. Opening a hive more than once every couple weeks will cause problems too. So will changing locations as bee's will get lost. Look up your local bee keeper's club and go to a meeting, let them know you're interested in bee's and see if someone there needs assistance with their hives in trade for honey. I love your videos and admire your dedication to a lifestyle most people are scared to try do to social norms.

Farmers spray so much that I gave up on bees!
@JohnDoe-id9hiАй бұрын
@MikeWD9JJV I agree, and people here have used chemicals to manage varrowa mites rather than allowing the bees to develop their own resistance, creating a dependency of intervention to manage the hives.

Yeah, the weld contracts as the steel cools-you noticed it because the size of the bead relative to the length of the bar you are welding. If that is a problem in the assembly you are welding, you’ll have to clamp, then tack weld on both sides.

Its not a problem anymore!

While waiting for a bus, I was like surrounded by a couple dozen bees for no reason for several minutes. I tried walking away from them, but they followed me, so I gave up and sat back down nervous that they'd all start stinging. Then i saw a crazy looking guy walking towards me, and thought, I don't have to worry about him bothering me because of the bees 😊 A little while after he had passed, the bees left

If you're interested in beekeeping, I recommend looking up how to make a Skep. Skeps have been used as an apiary for thousands of years. Its definitely up your ally due to making it yourself instead of buying one. I know how much you dislike participating in reliance on the establishment to get what you need. ❤❤ Ps. I'm also interested in hollowing out logs to use as beekeeping apiary. You might also be interested in that

Im not actually serious about adding a hive to my wagon i was just wishing i had some honey there to make some natural puffed cornpops cereal but i dug the hollow log hive hung in the Anastasia series i used to think was actually based on a true story but like that log hive idea it claimed to have been oroginated by the main character in the supposed real story book but internet searches proved they were a thing for thousands of years i just didnt know about and that author playing off readers ignorance to build a cult like following of readers who believed the stories to be actually real. That cult had me convinced for like a day after reading the first couple books then googling to find the truth then the later books became very evident how manipulative and dishonest the author was to try and convince readers it was all based on and ancient knowledge came from Anastasia everything that book attributes to anastasia already existed not to downplay the ideas but just so people know the truth and can just take from the series what the truth behind it all is

It's only recommended to move bee hives one metre per day or over 3 km per day so that they know to reset their maps. Everytime you move them they have to reset their internal maps and return to their original location. Bees fly very long distances and would never know where to return to a moving beehive

Hi Aaron, Would love to see more information on how you learnt to process and sort your raw wool for felt making. I am wanting to make a mattress from corriedale raw wool. Have watched on your channel but would love to see more detailed information. Huge fan of your KZbin and based in Queensland Australia. Thanks
@123HomefreeАй бұрын
For my fingercarding method it reeeally helps to have an open fleece that isnt already too matted/felted. It also helps if the fleece hasnt been stored jumbled into a bag and moved around so many times its felting in on itself and cant be rolled out how it was cut off the sheep.
@poojabharadwaj-w8hАй бұрын
@@123Homefree Thanks Aaron, I received about 4kg of fleece and it was vacuum sealed. I was planning to make a jacket out of it but have thought of making a mattress instead. I have ordered about 40kg to make a queen mattress. I will try to share photos but not sure how I can share them on KZbin. Would you be able to make a detailed video of the wet felting process from start to finish. Thank you.

Your welding doscovery is true. Thats why they teach you to tack all the way around before running a line. The tacks hold against the contraction.
@FREE_WILL_AAHhhhhhhhhhhhh20 күн бұрын
are you tack welding your piece in place before you start welding it in? it works best to tack all corners where you want them and when working with thin metal it's necessary to only weld a little in each spot so that the heat won't distort your metal.

@123HomefreeАй бұрын
No i leave the natural lanolin in the wool which is natural insect repellent the only reason anybody has moths eating their wool garments is cause they washed its natural defense barrier against them

You would have to move about three feet an hour or the bees would loose there hive. You be better to keep hive on someones place and go check on it once and awhile you could trade for some honey.
