Wonderful video, as always! As much as I advocate for going to Therapy though, I have heard some horrendous stories about BetterHelp in particular. I’m glad to see that your sponsorship deals are thriving, and I’m always happy to support your channel in any way I can, but I do wish that BetterHelp was not one of them. Sending my love!

Sadly, I have to echo this comment. Love you, Madeleine, and I will always watch, but I do think Better Help is worth looking into.

Seconding this comment. I find maddies content really calming and is my go to on a bad day but I do wish she assesses her relationship with this sponsor

Thank you for being kind with this feedback!❤ I am proud to work with them and provide access to those who are thinking about having therapy who havent been able to access it before for whatever reason. I am VERY particular about my sponsorships. I am mindful of not promoting overconsumption or new products all the time. I share things I believe in. Therapy has transformed my life and I have had countless messages from followers who have signed up to BetterHelp from my recommendation and how it’s positively impacted their mental health since working with a therapist. I understand they aren’t for everyone, so you can take it or leave it. But please also assess the sponsors that are across all influencers and all platforms in the same way. As it’s my channel, please trust I take on feedback from my audience very seriously but also make very considered decisions when it comes to who I work with. I have always been very considerate in this way since I started making content ❤

@@MadeleineOlivia therapy can be life-changing, but I would assess the situation again if I were you. just look at where betterhelp is based / who the owners are and how many controversies they've had. you obviously mean well and want to help people, but it is a bit sad you're still being sponsored by a company like betterhelp. it's so easy to find out what's wrong with them. and yes, this goes to ANYONE who STILL works with them.
@immadoll4214 күн бұрын
@@viivi4196 I'm glad folks are pushing this, as I do think it's worth further investigation. As a therapist and insider to the mental health industry, BetterHelp is extremely exploitative to both therapists and consumers (e.g. violating HIPAA/data breaches of mental health records for profit, contracting unfairly, union busting, etc).

Lilies are super poisonous to cats!!! Even a tiny bit of the pollen stuff can be fatal to them. Just letting you know as I think a lot of people aren’t aware, it’s not worth the risk!🐱
@ah823314 күн бұрын
Please be careful with cats and lilies. If they're true lilies I wouldn't risk having them in the house with your cat x

I second this! My friends cat got severely ill just because she got a bit of pollen on her and then licked it of when grooming. Luckily she survived, but not worth the risk

I'm only two minutes in but this video is making me feel like I'm not utterly insane. My house is a mess just now and me and my husband are so bad at keeping things tidy. I've got a ten month old baby and the mess just makes me feel even worse just now - so much so that I had a wee cry this morning. I find it so hard to keep things tidy, always have and have always felt like I must be lazy (even though I know I'm not, I cook dinners, look after my son etc.) Anyway this made me feel totally validated. Thank you!

You AREN’T lazy! You have a ten month old that requires so much of your time! Do what you can and be kind to yourself you’re doing so so amazingly!

Sweetie, please, PLEASE, don't be so hard on yourself. You are doing great! Is your son warm, fed, happy? That's what matters. Taking care of a young child is a full time job. Taking care of your house is also a full time job. That's TWO fulltime jobs. Let that sink in for a moment. Nobody can do that to perfection and people who say that they can are lying. Your child won't care if the house is picture perfect tidy. He won't remember that growing up. He WILL remember you always being there for him, loving him and he'll get that warm,fuzzy feeling inside of him thinking about you and his childhood. I've never heard anyone say "my mum wasn't really present in my life but I've had a fantasic childhood 'cos the house was always clean and tidy" .... A couple of tips that could help you: First:Take care of yourself. If you look good, you'll feel better. So wash your hair, put one a nice (but still comfy and practical) outfit instead of sweatpants. Put on some make up and/or a little parfume. I promise, it will make you feel better. Taking time to to take care of yourself is just as important as taking care of your child. You are worth the time !!! Next:Cleaning up before going to bed. My grandma told me this a lóng time ago. Take 15 to 20 minutes max before you go to bed to clean up the countertops, the tables and the stuff on the floor/sofa so you can start fresh the next morning instead of feeling overwhelmed as soon as you enter your livingspace. If those areas are clutterfree, the entire house will look better. Tip nr 3: make your bed during the day. (Learned this just a couple of years ago myself.) I don't know why but for some reason it works. You'll pass that bedroom and you'll see a nicely made bed and it makes you feel better because the room looks better. I wish I could give you a hug❤. Breathe. It's okay to not being superwoman, you don't have to be her. Be yourself : you are good enough the way you are!

I’m a big fan of the paprika 3 app for Mac, iPad and iPhone for meal planning. I like it because it has an easily import feature with most web recipes and I also like the mobile UI. I don’t use notion on my phone cuz it’s UI sucks on mobile. I use it religiously for work though so I get why you chose notion first. I just find paprika so easily I haven’t thought to move my collection over to notion. For reference: I’ve probably been using paprika for at least 5 years.

Hi Madeleine, I just wanted to say I made your Satay curry from your cookbook at the weekend and loved it! I used No chicken pieces as I didn’t have tofu and added extra veggies, it was brilliant! Made soo much my freezer is full! Several friends have asked me for the recipe too! I combined it with bulgur wheat instead of rice! Wholeheartedly recommend this recipe 👍

Hey. Please could you do some budget weekly food shops and then a separate video showing what you eat that week with the food? I know you did a while ago but some more recent ones would be great. Especially with costs going up. Thank you!

I worked at a bridal shop for 7 years. Sometimes after a wedding a bride would come in with a food or mud stained dress and want us to clean it. The shop owner would literally take it home and wash it in her washing machine! The dresses came out fine even if they had beads or sequins. If you're scared use cold water and a gentle cycle. Lay it flat or hang up to dry and then steam out wrinkles.

Bridal shops here in the US will send your dress off for cleaning and preserving after the wedding. It's a service you pay for at the time of purchase. It comes back in a sealed box to preserve it from the elements. Do they not do that there?
