It was more of a White Afrikaans accent, although good, there's so many accents in South Africa and it's not one of the more common ones. If you watch "How to ruin Christmas", you'll hear a huge number of accents.

@@blahblaahh3004 Jamaica does have far fewer accents. It's more than dialects. It's languages, you've got Xhosa, Zulu, Sotho, English, Afrikaans, Tsonga etc. There's a huge amount of diversity in South Africa that isn't common except maybe the USA, but even the USA only has English and Spanish as major languages. Many Black South Africans learn English as a second language so their accents vary a lot. Same with White Afrikaans speakers. So there's no South African English accent. There's not even a common South African English accent. The accents are wildly different because only a minority of Saffers learn English as a first language. That's why I recommended the TV show because I feel it really shows how crazy different the accents are. Also, in the UK and USA, White South Africans are often seen as the main representatives of South Africa so a lot of people see South Africa as Whiter than it is and think their accents are common. That's why I liked that "How to ruin Christmas" has been in the top ten on UK Netflix every Christmas for the past 3 years. I think it will change people's perspectives of South Africa. I really liked how they continously switch between multiple native languages and English. I think one character spoke 5 languages in one scene. South Africa is a unique place with over a dozen official languages, most of which originate from Black South Africans who are a group of incredibly diverse ethnicities. It's more than Charlize Theron.
