Also wanted to chime in about disposable episodes: I will not only occasionally rewatch these episodes, but I have the playslist for The Final Bosman saved to my library, and I will go back and watch that from time to time as well. I miiiight even know those episodes better than Kyle himself at this point. And speaking specifically to TFB, and eventually Delayed Input I'm sure, it is nice to kinda go back and relive that time in gaming a bit. Be reminded of what the feelings of the time were. Live in old hype, remember old disappointments, get sometimes interesting new insight with the benefit of hindsight, or shake your head at an industry that uncomfortably repeats history in all the wrong ways, even nearly a decade later. Don't undervalue rewatching episodes!

As a long-time Gamefly subscriber I gotta say it's surprisingly better than it's ever been. They FINALLY got the shipping time down to 3 days or so, you can "lock in" a rental so you're pretty much guaranteed to get it at launch and now you can also self-report when you send a game back which further reduced friction and increases shipping speed. One thing I've always liked is if you get a game at launch you are usually the first one to play it and if you buy it from them not only can you get a substantial discount on a brand new game, they send you the untouched case so you basically get the game in new condition as well.

I definitely couldn't be a reviewer, I'd just play 15 minutes of God Of War: Ragnarok For The PS5 and then look up the ending on youtube; meeting up with my friends later on they'd ask me "Have you played it?" and I smirk and say "Yeah I did the jellyfish bit, it was 94/100". Then we all go to my place to play Cosmowhatever High.

I had a similar experience seeing the review scores come in. Strangly though, this video gave me that foreboding sense of "Oh no... he's going to hate it", like the first act of a movie when the main character is certain things are going to work out perfectly. In regards to not being able to rent games anymore, I just want to give a shout-out to local libraries! This largely depends on where you live, but they are starting to have a lot of modern video games. According to Wikipedia, the city where I live doesn't even crack the top 50 most populated US cities, but I just checked and our library network has 21 copies of Elden Ring. Give your local library a look, you might be pleasantly surprised!

It's interesting to hear you excited about God of War Ragnarok as like the next Cultural Touchstone Game when for me and the groups I hang in it's barely a blip and will immediately get overshadowed by Pokémon a week later. I'll play it sometime, I loved God of War 2018, but I don't have a PS5 and even if I did I'd kinda rather just wait until it's not $70. (I know it's on PS4 but I hate the notion of buying the game and having a lesser experience without even having the recourse of it being cross-buy.) Great episode regardless! No, I absolutely do not agree with watching on youtube to make an opinion when certain games is loved for its gameplay as well as its story or plays a pivotal role into the game unlike TallTales games or something where you might as well watch it. Not only that but watching someones playthrough influences your view on a game based on how the Streamer/Uploader handles or performs at the game. Its not truly your own opinion but someone else like the Hate Mob that happens during The Last of US Part 2 leaks happen.

Why will most of the audience not care about PSVR2 though? That always alluded my, the general desinterest of most gamers for VR. If it is because most VR games are "experiences", that I understand. But I think that was mostly due to hardware limitations of PSVR or Oculus Quest. PSVR2 is said to be much more advanced, with actual ps5 graphics. That is the kind of VR I have been waiting for since I saw it in movies in the 90s.
