For you conversation on the 5-26-24 (your date) stream about the interior blocks stacked behind the new truss I agree. I also don't like that the new temporary containers can not be picked up by grid welders like the contents of cargo blocks could before.

Hey Splitsie, why not try to build a drop-pod in helldivers style to attack a base? I think it could be fun. So a dropship out of range above the base with an respawn point. So if you die, you just jump in the next Pod

finally! Abominous is getting some reconstructive Surgery. the base still however feels empty. Bob & Charli just aren't enough. need Reggie & Steve and mayhaps some supporter named bots helping or guarding the place. Splitsie may have caught a Space Herpe!

One of my favorite things for the kind of building you're doing is a pushmi-pullyu utility flier that has welders on the front and grinders on the other front. You put a remote control and rear camera facing in the direction where you have grinders, and a cockpit (connected to inventory via large grid) facing in the direction where you have welders. So you can do block placement from the cockpit, and when you need to grind you just switch to the remote control and grind. I think build&repair can add something to the game if it's severely nerfed. Make it work at about 1/25 the speed, and it turns into a fairly reasonable worry-free maintenance assistant that doesn't dominate gameplay. It just repairs minor damage and cleans things up when you've not noticed them or while you're busy with other things.

You better blueprint your Big Rig after you finish repairs. It'll make future repairs a lot simpler and more accurate.

That's... an impressive amount of damage from 2 drones, but then it wouldn't be Space Engineers unless a big hole was created by ramming. "I'm gonna go shoot some things." Back when I still had actual reflexes, I burned many hours of frustration away shooting robots in Descent 2. Good times...

That lifter looks like a Vogon construction platform, since it's basically a brick that flies in exactly the way bricks don't. EDIT: Right after I wrote this, it stopped flying. 😂

Shadow expressing her confusion at Bob being a player gave me an evil idea. Ask for someone's help, like guys from the support team, and have them log in dressed as Bob or do yourself then pretend to be an NPC walking around the base. Points for every second near Shadow until she notices. Will need the nametag removal/hide mod.

What bugs introduced by temp crates do you mean? I haven't encountered any issues with them and have a heavily modded save. The only immediate problem I can think of is it getting wedged in internal small grid block which is no different than before with ore boulders and lose parts.

At least in Europe we have wide lanes for pedestrians and cyclists. In Los Angeles I have experienced streets that only have a 30cm wide emergency lane for pedestrians and cyclists. Cities in the US are made for cars, not people. ;D
