Funny thing is Alina was less than a minute on her clock when she decided to sacrifice her queen. Quite a decision. Even though she had calculated most of things beforehand, she still could not be 100% sure she calculated all outcomes. I had an interesting idea. Get two beginners or intermediate players to play together and analyze the mistakes they make as they go. It can be a fun mini series if you ever want different content. As much as I enjoy the complex games the theory often escapes me since I haven’t reached that level yet. I often see good games analyzed but not bad ones.

Thanks for that game...like you said they were just ignoring each other the whole game so that left all pieces on the board until very late in the game...it is rare to see games anymore where there is little exchanging of pieces but when you do it usually makes for a beautiful mate.
