ooo! fun fact: my mom was actually friends with the lady who inspired this story. They said it was based off several stories but it wasn't. My mom had a pastry business in L.A. and this lady was her only employee because it was a small business. The stories she would tell my mom, she considered my mom a friend because my mom never cast judgement on her and would let her vent. She was a sweet lady, with just a bad circumstance.

Stoney shouldn’t have torn the check up that she scarified her body for & she should have filed a lawsuit against LAPD for Stevie’s death, Lorenz lowkey set Stevie up by allowing his sister to give him that haircut, even though they got money & away clean after the first robbery they were getting prepared while inside the bank, they should have used different disguises, put the money into different accounts as if was their pay from work instead of hiding it at Luthers. Queen Latifah's girlfriend in this movie was absolutely gorgeous. She had flawless skin, beautiful, beautifully melanated, 🤎👑🤎 beautiful facial features, a nice body, she had sex appeal, she was feminine, I loved her hair cut, and her color. We got an early screening at my college. We packed that place out because it was free. I remember all of the guys screaming when Cleo upgraded her car and hooting during the sex scene with Blair Underwood. I was just happy to see the movie for free cause I was a broke college student.

I swear, they know all the ins-and-outs, who is messin’ around with who, who did what, etc. People often treat crack heads as if they are invisible, so they often go unnoticed. It felt like she thought she was better than Frankie, Bondy said Cleo was out on a suicide mission, but the longer time passed, the angrier Frankie got, and it gave her more ammunition to think she needed to be shot in the end.

It pissed me off in the beginning that white cop was being an asshole to Frankie after she almost could’ve gotten herself killed in the robbery and her boss is firing her. Luther was an idiot too. He didn’t respect these women at all. He was horrible. The two guys I loved was Keith played by Blair Underwood and Black Sam that Dr Dre played.

❤ Love this movie this is one of my classics. But I will say I agree with you Bondy a good majority of them were slow in this movie 🤦🏾. Now, the police with Frankie, I hate that she was traumatized, but they should have been sued. Same thing with Stony when her brother got killed the police department should have been sued for that too. Too much was happening that shouldn't have happened. Stony ripped up the check; Cleo stealing cars and leaving fingerprints; them bad disguise they had stealing from the bank; and definitely hiding their money at Luther's building. But I will say this with Stony being the only one that survived and going to Mexico I got to laugh because it's so funny that a year ago she was fighting demons in DEMON KNIGHT. To go back to the hood to do SET IT OFF, escaping a robbery with the police. THEN head right back to Mexico to chill 😂😂😂😂
