don't apologize for anything mama v. we are getting 6 to 9 inches of snow on Friday of this week and we are getting ready for the snow and cold temps to. Stay safe and warm. I am sure that you have enough wood for this storm that is coming.. If you can just stay inside as much as you can and if you hve to go out to take care of your animals be extremely careful. We all love watching and following you. God Bless you and your family and friends. So much going on in this world of ours and we are all going to have to keep ourselves and our loved ones as safe as possible.

It takes a community to get your home built unless you are a construction type who knows how to do everything. Your community has been there for you even if you had to wait for them to free up some time to help you. The same for Jeff @ Bobblehead Homestead. Everyone has there own homesteads to work on but they make time to help others. Your cabin is coming along nicely and you are able to get by living in it as you go. This coming season you should be able to finish the interior and stock up for next winter at a more leisurely rate.

Hi Mama V. We had an ice storm on Saturday that coated all of Kansas, but in NE Kansas, we were hit hard. Then Saturday night and Sunday, snow fell with blizzard conditions. We live out in the country, and we ended up with 15 inches, plus 3 - 4 ft drifts in places. The road grater finally made a swipe down our road yesterday, and with the help of a snowblower, we are able to get out. The storm is crazy bad. Luckily, we didn't lose electricity the whole time, but still in freezing conditions. Take care of yourself, this one's a doozy!!!

girl when I was a girl there was storm like the one we are expecting coming, and Mama and us kids lined the walls of our shot gun "tiny" house with wood...when Daddy came home he was surprised and a bit freaked out....we had to take 3/4 of the wood back outside and restack it, Daddy said that much weight could have caused the floor to fall....we had wood stacked at least 4 foot high all around the walls...Mama was determined we were going to stay warm...we did, but only really did need a 1/4 of what we had in that house....funny to remember that....Arkansas has a history of ice...I pray we just get snow and no ice....stay warm...I am keeping things charged, I have cole oil lamps but I live in a condo in Little Rock....and electric heat...we will just stay snuggled in down comforters till the lights come on....at least I have city water and not a well...we will have water....

Sorry I missed this live. I been having lots of problems with water lines, and now my gas lines. I have no heat under my electric blankets. And a couple more blankets, with my head covered up. I just wish and pray for help. Lots of people know my problems I am having. But no one will really help me. Seems like if you don't have very much money coming in no one takes a interest in what kind of problems you have or what your going through. It is sad but true. I offered to pay some one a few hundred dollars each month for their services. But they want the total cost up front. Then they over charge you, for their services. I am caught between a rock and a hard place. I don't go anywhere but to the laundry mat, and big box store for grocery's and my heart pills water pills. I know this is my temporary home. I keep going on because of Jesus. If not for him I wouldn't be here, and I know with him I have everything. Please pray for me that some day God will send me someone to help me with the water lines and now my gas lines. The first gas man that came out four days ago, checked the gas line to make sure the cap that got knocked off by me hitting it with my back lawn mower wheel. Last summer, he said it was holding pressure. I called three days later, to tell them I smelled gas. On Wednesday the 8th. Of this month Jan. They sent another gas man out named David, he said the lines were not holding pressure, and that he could definitely smell gas also. So now I have no gas , and it is suppose to snow tomorrow on Thursday. I am thinking well, at least I have a couch to sleep on, I'm not out on the street sleeping in a card board box. I think about all those people that lost their homes in the California fires. I keep trying to think positive through all this. But I am so happy for you mama V. That your cabin your building is coming along . Thing of it is if a woman doesn't have a man around to help, like I don't have it is extra supper hard to get anything done. My body won't let me do hardly any physical labor, disc in my lower back slipped down, open heart surgery, bad nerve pain in both my feet, hernia surgery I had and mesh netting caving in from that. Now water on my right knee with arthritis in my right knee. I have to lay down a lot to get the pressure off my spine. Sometimes it just overwhelms me. But through this all I know GOD is carrying me through this. I can still take myself to the store to the laundry mat. Still cook off of electric skillet I have bottled water to drink. I keep telling myself it will be ok. Taking this one day at a time. I just wish These things would get fixed. I just want to be able to rest my mind. I pray every day for what GOD has done for me, and each day that he gives me. Well, this was way longer than I intended for it to be. But it helps me a lot to just vent. GOD bless you mama V. Tow truck at my husband's dealership slid into the back of my parked vehicle. 😢 all is well and nobody hurt, but it sux. Making a pot of ham and beans with a big ole ham bone saved over from Christmas dinner and cornbread for tomorrow's supper. 19° here in Ozark, Missouri. Had flurries ❄️ early this morning.
