Mama v. My son has fighting for his life. He was ridding his motorcycle and a full size truck pulled out and hit him. Broken back in 2 places a 9 hours surgery. 5 stomach surgeries, his kidneys liver are barley working. He has dialysis every other day. He has damage to lungs, stomachs, kidneys, liver and heart too. He's struggling so much pain. Please keep him on prayers

I used to live in a different house. The rear with the laundry and small bedroom was cold. I used a rectangle kerosene heater some. I had an electric fan that set on top. It would blow the heat out.

🤠 WALLS. Once you get the wood stove in, It'll dry your wall wood out, one way you may be able to help, get a thermometer that also measures your room humidity, ( I got one to throw into my old freezer I use for dry storage ) 🎄 WALL BOARDS. if your not doing ship lap, I did see a feller using tounge and groove, that on his end cuts angled them to 45° you may want to try some sample boards, do the butt, do the angle, and do a ship lap. Couple studs wide board end-end couple boards high, let them stay on the wall couple weeks or so then you can weigh your pros and cons

Our house is electric but invested in 2 kerosene heaters as backup. I keep a table scarf over it to keep it clean and also use to set pictures on. (I don't have a shed or storage so I had to improvise).

You should be able to pop door off glue gasket around hole door put sheet news paper over door put back on fire stove let dry 24hour careful pull paper off have hot fire and your seal is good to go probably you use 1/2seal rope in kit it on u tube video how to do good luck

Try the propane heater it’s $99 at Lowe’s or Home Depot and you put the whole 20 lb tank in the back of it - or a little buddy .. propane isn’t stinky like kerosene ..

Propane is pretty expensive to heat with. The clean diesel in the kerosene heater is much less $.

Happy Thanksgiving, pretty tree says here snow for a week that I can see so far ,remembered dad had one for a bit couldn't take the smell gave me migraines so had him get the kind that had oil inside of them and you never had to refill looked like a lot fashion steam heater like in are schools and heated wonderful. 🤠 CEILING FANS Have you had a chance to research them, Just wondering if where the open part of your ceiling a long shaft fan is more efficient, I remember the old high high ceilings in the old main street stores had the long shaft fans

I hope you have a carbon monoxide alarm in your home. You should research the safety rules when using it inside buildings. You;d be better off with an electric heater.

Electric heat costs a fortune. The kerosene heater is made for indoors so will be fine as a backup to the wood stove which will be my main heat source. I do have a carbon monoxide/gas detector on the far living room wall.
