A detail I liked about gungi games is that in one chapter(I don't remember which one) when Meruem is defeated in a match he briefly analyses how Komugi won against him and says that the spy (the piece that represents Komugi) has done nothing the entire match and suddenly it controls the board. This is probably the foreshadowing of Komugi's role during the palace invasion and what she represents during it, as she pretty much did nothing but after the nuke she suddenly controlled the board.

The reason why Ilumi and his family thinks Killua dosent need friends is because 1) He has to take over the family because of his immense talent to be an assassin. 2) He is the only child in the family who has silver hair(which is meant to be strong or something) 3)the family thinks that if Killua has friends, then he would leave the family and not become the head - side note the grand father is very close friends with Netero also.

THEORY: It’s entirely possible that Komugi’s nen ability is to influence life around her using Gungi because, at Synonymous times she used the soldier piece that in kanji can be read as leopard when Cheetu started fighting morel and then she used the bow piece when he unveiled his second nen ability. Not to mention the direct parallels in the casts operation and the Gungi match between her and Meruem. What I like about Togashi as an author is his attention to detail and his subtlety regarding how he develops his arcs, that's why people talking about "asspulls" or "skewed power systems" shows how completely off they are on their conclusions, I've yet to see something like this from other anime and it really is impressive if you think about it.

2:28 I was trying to figure out what made those eyes so unsettling. I thought about if it was the lack of light, before noticing that there was still light reflected in them. But the whites of the eyes are gone, that seems to be the problem. And then I realized what thst image means. His eyes look like those of my dog, those of an animal. As Meruem was becoming human and trying to talk through the situation and finding morality, Netero's eyes became those of an animal's. The flip opposite of Meruem. Damn

One theory I had after rewatching Hunter X Hunter was the ending 5 (the one in the Chimera Ark) when the gungi pieces fell and showed the characters it had the Villains the black side and the main characters on the white side. If you pay attention to it you would see that Gon is on the black side representing how he wasn't making rational decisions and acting almost like a villain pushing everyone and everything away and going as far as taking Komugi hostage for the advantage.
