Beautiful car. I love the analog gauges too. I prefer them. I’ve had some good time driving my friends ‘16 GT350 and I enjoyed the computer reading when I drove it home from CA to UT. I was able to ride with a friend and do laps at willow springs in another GT350. Awesome cars. Super capable, nice driving, hydraulic clutch is super nice and smooth. They sound incredible. I took my friends to 8250 a few times. It does pull long and solid. I agree with everything you said in the video. I was glad to see much respect from euro car people who admit what the car really is and how great it is. Nice video.

I have a Gen1 - zero issues. I think what you said is very true in terms of engine reliability. I belong to a FB group, and it is astonishing how many people get into these cars without realizing the characteristics and requirements. 350's came with a supplemental manual, specific to the Voodoo engine, and many were not even aware of said manual. That said, I check the oil regularly when the engine is at temp (per the manual), I ONLY add oil when the level reaches the lower indicator hole on the dipstick (per the manual), etc... I think the combination of people not checking the oil frequently enough and/or OVER filling the oil are two huge contributing factors.

I really like, and respect the newer GT350’s but ended up buying an 08 GT500 with 12,000 miles. To me the 07’s-09’s are the perfect blend of retro, and modern body styling, plus there’s just something super endearing about the rawness of the solid rear axle. Beautiful car and great video. I purchased a used 2016 GT350 with 14k. I absolutely love the car and being in Pa can't wait until the spring to really get a chance to drive it. I bought the car and it had a fresh oil change and I purposely drove it for 500 miles to at least make sure I didn't have an oil burning issue. So far the oil hasn't moved a bit on the dip stick.

The S550 platform is very balanced and the magneride suspension is great. The harder you push the car the better it gets. Just wish it had the Tremic trans. Engine is wonderful the more you rev it!

Great review. Incredibly beautiful car you have! Stylish without stripes and really nice carbon fiber dash. I don't like carbon fiber otherwise, but here it fits really well. I have seen other reviews that mention that the front tires wear very quickly. Is it really that bad? I do understand your complaint, but at the end of the day, good fit & finish isn’t exactly why you buy one of these. You buy it for the beautiful engine & tremec 6 speed. You get one of these for the carbon fiber wheels and other track oriented goodies that other manufacturers would charge you an arm and a leg for.
@avocado9763 Жыл бұрын
@@dankmemer2774 Your right! I like mustang gt 350's in the 2019 and 2020 years. It took a class action lawsuit to get Ford to address the mechanical issues in the first 4 years of the gt 350. I like Mustangs and have owned a few. It bothers me when I see Ford quality control so low. I just want a little quality for $60 or $70 thousand and that shouldn't require a lawsuit. A few thing jumped out to me. Buyers were to willing to accept a car that burned 1qt of oil in 500 miles or more. If consumers don't demand quality they won't get it. Ford never stepped up the interior quality. All plastic grey for decades. They wouldn't put pistons for opening the hood. I bet the GT 350 has that ten cent chinese pig iron rod to open the hood. Ford has used it for decades. These are examples of poor quality! Just my opinion nothing personal.
@dankmemer2774 Жыл бұрын
@@avocado9763 that’s true tho, the benefit: it’s a ford, so it’s cheaper than euro counterpart. The downside: it’s a ford. Panel gaps, cheap plastic, pop-rod hood, engines that may occasionally burn too much oil or blow up all together. She ain’t perfect, but she ain’t gonna burn a hole thru your wallet when things do go wrong since it’s still a ford and parts are relatively “cheap”. I am quite indifferent to ford as a brand, but I am biased particularly towards the gt350 and that alone out of their entire lineup.
