2/11/2023 I recently bought the latest iteration of the Tisas 1911A1. They moved the zig tsas roll mark to the bottom of the dust cover, cleaning up the receiver. I bought this from the near rave reviews on KZbin AND as a companion to my 1943 Remington Rand (service grade) acquired from CMP. I have to say the Tisas fit and finish is excellent. It came with a nice, hard, lockable case, two magazines, both sets of grips (Turkish "double diamond "Walnut and G.I. plastic) cleaning brush and swab holder. An exceptional value in an excellent representation of G.I. kit.

Picked mine up for $249 from my local Sportsmans Warehouse! Was in the used case and one of the earlier models that came in a basic cardboard box vs the nicer plastic case. Fit and finish for $249 is quite unbelievable! Overall imlressions are this is the most basic, no frills style, cheapest 1911. As a clone it is feature packed without the high pricetag

I've got this Tisas A1 Army and I've also got a Remington R1 enhanced that costs twice as much and the Remington is prettier but they both drive tacks and I'd recommend the Tisas to anyone. The machining is superb especially for the price point and with new grips and some sight paint it's really an awesome machine!!

My son has that Remington, so when we do "1911" day at the range, we have fun trying to out shoot each other. Both guns are very good shooters.

Got one at the $400 price point and took it out this past weekend. 150 rounds and ran flawlessly. I've got post WWII correct grips along with a titanium firing pin that will be installed shortly. Other than that I'll keep it as is because there is nothing more to improve.

I have 2 Tisas's now...new to the Tisas family. A 1911 duty (5") and 1911 carry (4.25"). I was suprised that it recoiled less than my Glock g19 gen 5. A little more kick in the palm but the vertical recoil was a bit less. Heavier gun, longer barrel, less vertical recoil. And it shoots great. Would definitely recommend the wilson combat mags though. Factory mags are ok but did have some FTF's initially.

I just purchased a Tisas 1911 A1 Service for my 38th Birthday. I have wanted a 1911 since I was 10. My EDC was/is a Springfield XD Mod2 Sub-Compact in 45acp. I back that up with another 45. Beretta Cougar 8045 F. So I'm a 45 guy, but couldn't ever afford a 1911. I absolutely love this Tisas 1911 A1 Service Model. As this model actually takes into account all the issues the Military model has and completely addresses them Beautifully. Of course that's not saying the issues with the Military model are not intended as it is a military clone.

I bought the "service" model back in December 2021. Some people say they've had theirs run 100% out of the box. Mine didn't until about 800 rounds or so. It wasn't terrible, but it did have feeding issues from time to time, even with good quality mags. I'm going on over 1,500 hundred rounds now, and it's been fantastic since that 800ish round mark. And it feeds any ammo I put in it. Pretty hard to beat this basic 1911 for the money, especially with all forged main components.

The thumb safety on the Tisas IMHO is significantly better than the thumb safety found on standard Colt 1911’s until recently. Though small it provides a more secure engagement / disengagement surface which is less likely (again IMHO) to be missed under stress than the later version that was standard on Colt 1911’s for many years.

My only gripe with mine is that the hammer seems a bit wider than an original 1911A1, so i get hammer bite because of my high grip. Wilson Combat's drop in beaver tail safety and hammer and I have wonderful firing 1911A1. Has fed hollowpoints and FMJ with Zero issues. Have pretty close to 1,000 rounds through it. For about $150 more you can get their Stainless Steel Duty model that has an upgraded trigger, better sights and a beaver tail grip safety already on it.

Sorry, that I am pasting my same post to other videos! -=-+-= I've got the same A1 version. I wanted something I could display for its historical significance (I'm big into WW2 history), but that I could also fire to my heart's content (well, nowadays - wallet's content) without worry. I've stopped with the "for the money" disclaimer because that pistol has won me over completely. It was stiff and tight out of the box, but once I cleaned off the assembly goop and Hoppe'd it up, and sat on the sofa just repeatedly running the slide, dry firing it, and running my different mags through it, it felt great. Great range performance. Tight, no rattles, but smooth and feeling like a quality piece. I never have these feelings about my polymer wonders. Yes, I carry them and keep them in the nightstand, but I don't have the fondness for them that I have for my all-metal pieces. I have no desire to find a different one. It absolutely on its own merits. It's a great ole hunk of metal! 🤠

NO 1911 pistol is worth over 600 dollars period. No matter who makes the 1911 45acp it's made according to the mil-spec 1911 design and platform. Tisas makes their 1911 45s the same way they did 100 years ago using hammer forging while using modern CNC machining of all the parts.

Centerfire systems has them for $400 right now. Plus they offer a 90 day layaway. Just picked my up the other day. This is my 3 tisas. I own the duty version with full rail, the GI, and their hi power clone. I’m old enough to remember when we used to get the cheap Norinco/Chinese clones of these old pistols. The fit and finish is FAR superior on these Turkish guns. Plus all the forged parts make it all the more better. They really give US companies like Springfield and Ruger a run for their money. Before the panic buying these guns were $339-360 shipped all day from Cdnn and classic firearms. But $400 is still a steal imo. Sorry for the lengthy reply. Good luck!

Tisas Model 1911A1 U.S. Army. My review, the finish is not true Parkerizing, it is a coating. The ejection port is lower than a USGI pistol. The plastic grips aren't up to G.I standards and are cut for a ambidextrous thumb safety. There is no groove on the mainspring housing on the area above the lanyard loop. The loop is bigger than your USGI loop, so it doesn't affect anything. The magazine well has a small bevel, where G.I pistols don't. My pistol has a nice trigger pull and is very tight, like a National Match pistol. The recoil spring guide doesn't have the punch hole. I paid $395.00 and tax. The Tisas is made in Turkey by a military contractor, It comes in a cardboard box with users manual, one magazine, barrel brush and cleaning rod. It is imported by SDS Imports and has a 5 year warranty from date of purchase.
