The book was so much better, he wasn't such a jerk, he left when they were in college, not even engaged and he tried to talk to her before he left to pursue his music dreams and she didnt take it seriously and told him just to sleep on it before i dropped out of college and he took that as she wouldnt support him. His managers got Josie's message about the baby and just ignored it, assume she was a crazy fan. He was never that arrogant when he came back home. Josie did move on, not just wait for him, and he had to work a lot harder to earn the right to be a dad and win her back.

I watched this movie years back and the young me didn't see anything wrong with it but definitely not the matured me. Liam is irresponsible no doubt. He's proven to be indecisive and easily swayed. Clicked on this under my recommendations. Reason: because the title of this recap is the same as what Im experiencing now. The difference is that the man I love went MIA because he wanted to focus into his new set dreams and goals. I waited and hoped till he told me he doesnt see my relevance and so I bid him goodbye but he wouldnt let go and why he wouldnt. It was easy at first when he first said that. The following days I was numb then I longed for him. Now he is denying he ever said that I wasnt important in his life. All I ever wanted is him. To some it may be crazy and foolish but I learned to forgive and hold on. Its not because Im caught or used to or scared, its just him for me. I dont know. I can wait even if it takes so much time but I hope its something genuine and real not a one way street as I rather be in the real side even if its not for me or favors me. They are christians and Josie had a Daughter for Liam, meaning that she literally had to accept and forgive him, even tho in the deepest part of her heart she didnt, Billy needs a father and in the end Liam ended up being that father and husband figure the family was missing, so if you are christian you know what im talking about.

What a dumb woman, that’s the kind that get dumped in real life just that in real life once dumped unless they kinda remain that way. Wow, so many perfect women here, free from any mistakes or immaturity. They must think they're God, apparently, since they're perfect and cannot admit to a single mistake. Liam was a jerk, but he was young and still grieving. What he did was awful, but the book the movie is based on, and the movie itself, is absolutely beautiful. It's sweet how Liam matures and gradually falls in love with his daughter. The only 'unforgivable' thing for me was Josie hiding their child out of spite, but even then, they both grow up together throughout the story. This book is just soo wonderful, one of my all-time favorites!

Imagine being left at the altar HUMILIATED and preganant and your self absorbed bf is too busy being famous to even check his messages or check on the people he left behind. And he gets to come back to what's familiar to him after meaningless nights with groupies because he wants to finally settle down after being a wh*ore and drugging up the roxkstar life? Nah he's ran through. If anything Josie should be INSULTED that Liam feels like he could just come back to her anytime since she's not going anywhere and it's convenient for him.
