I am still in disbelief. Still shaking. That was one of the greatest Grand Finals I’ve ever seen, up there with 2015. It had it all. Panthers won with sheer guts, determination, brilliance, and discipline. They made one sole error that entire GF, resulting in a near-perfect completion rate. I truly thought they were gone after the third Ezra try, but they fought back, cementing themselves in history and legend..

Underrated deception from Mitch Kenny. Everyone loves saying he's the weak link in the team and he's not good but after watching that never ending engine of his for 80 minutes and how he's improved this season people should think otherwise

Great analysis. Broncos well and truly took the foot off the pedal last 10-15 minutes and made some silly errors in both offense and especially in defence. Panthers never gave up and Cleary capitalised on those mistakes and made it count.

How many times do we see this in games really though , where teams push to a solid lead then their game play completely changes and it seems they turn to defense mode rather than playing their natural game that got them that lead. (they don't always lose the game , but seen it happen a lot over the years, also Nathan Cleary what a beast) Once they lose that momentum it seems like it's really hard to get it back. A moment of brilliance can literally change the attitude of offensive teams and bring them back into the game for a dominating period - my opinion teams should never switch off or change the play style that got them in the game/lead. Can NZ claim Nathan Cleary as ours? xD he grew up here for a decent bit hahah :P

Yep, hard to even be proud of their effort, because for the last 20 minutes there was literally none. They got complacent and simply gave away the premiership, shameful. Ezra Mam deserved better for what he did for them. I have nothing but respect for the Brisbane lions, they fought till the end and just got a few unlucky shots and calls. But the broncos picked up the premiership, and just said "I don't want this" and threw it away, infuriating.

I can see who Nathan Cleary idolises, he moves and plays just like the great All Black, Dan Carter! It's like watching a clone of Dan Carter, the way he runs, he attacks the line, the fend, the grubber kicks, the Kicks to touch, even the conversions. Cleary is still young, he has a lot more footy years left, legendary status at 25 and counting. Would love to see him challenge himself in Union, I really think he's what Rugby Union in Australia, really needs to propel the Wallabies and the game itself!

@@daleviker5884 similar player base though. Just a far better commercial product is NRL. Tiny internationally. @@JonathanWilson-zg6bd Well maybe the reason union is dying in australia is not only the fact that it is a terrible product, but also the arrogance of the handful of people like you who still watch it. It is simply an elite private school sport, the same as it is internationally. People who watch rugby league do so because of what a great game it is - not because they suffer from insecurity and watch sport as some sort of social climbing exercise.
