The technology is not taking off because there is not good enough profits to be made with it. It goes back money, it is scarcity that drives prices up thus abundance that drives them down.

What about the power of engine when they use nuclear power is good or not
@mortiarty7842 Жыл бұрын
Also depends on how people drive, lots of people get multimillion miles on their car, and what really helps on waste is to keep your old car maintained and alive which would be impossible for evs cause the batteries are indefinitely going to die and or less efficient within a decade, and replacing it would not be cost efficient to a lot of people when a new replacement battery is 10-20k alone, which will create more waste and pollution cause mining materials for those batteries are far from eco friendly, and I mind you we have a limited supply of those materials, just imagine replacing the billions of vehicles today with evs then the extra materials needed to maintain those vehicles, the worlds power grid will most likely go to shit way before we run out of materials to make batteries. Just imagine black outs 2times a day for an entire year, and building more green energy powerplants won’t help much since they are far less inefficient than nuclear power which we would need a couple thousand plants to stay afloat

Screw using turbines. Thermalphotovoltaics. Or TPV cells is the way to go! Think solar cells, but for heat. They just made ones that can run at 40-60% effiency. Or as good as turbines with no moving parts. This was pubilished by MIT by the way. Problem is you need 1,900‐2400 celius to get it to work. So we need a nuclear technology that can produce that much heat, and materials that can withstand it. Then we would be golden.

imagine Tony Stark's Reactor, a Tritium Duterium reactor inside of your car. one that can use the neutron particals to coat a new catalyst converter which will be a chamber of lithium collecting thr bombardment of neutrons to create tritium or helium 3 that can be put bwck into the engine to further perpetuate fusion reactions
