I made that for my husband's lunch once. He didn't realize I wrapped them individually in saran wrap until he took his first bite 😂 I only make them for home now. 😅

If you want the rice paper not too soft, then you should choose 3 bamboo rice paper (3 cay tre). Really famous brand among Vietnamese people

@@recuerdos2457 it’s up to you! That peanut sauce has soooo many versions here in Vietnam. My family like to add coconut milk ( remember to boild the sauce when u add it), some people like to add cream or pâté too! 😘🫶🏻

My mistake is putting all the ingredients towards the bottom and not cutting the shrimp in half so the rice paper rips. You just made me realize it.

You can substitute the milk by the chicken broth, it will taste much better.

The sauce would taste much better when you heat it on hot pan. In Vietnam we mix coconut milk, peanut butter, hoisin sauce, a little bit water, onion and little bit potato starch, stir and heat for 1 mins until it all well mixed!!!

I basically live on spring walls lately. I am on a diet ( just eating healthy nothing special) and taking Mounjaro. So I basically have no appetite. But spring rolls are my jam. I eat a version everyday. The easy go to cucumber, Asian salad mix, and shrimp. I am a happy girl. Making your version today. Oh and the ginger dressing that comes with the salad mix makes a great sauce and yes add the crunchy wonton topping to your roll that also comes in the mix. It is fantastic. Bean sprouts are so yummy. We sub with them as well.

You use veggies instead of noodles if you want it LOW CARBS..... and you can eat more of this.

As a Vietnamese I never once put milk in peanut sauce or see anyone do it. It will make your stomach uncomfortable.

As a Vietnamese person, I've never used milk either. I use pork broth or chicken broth. Also, I've never known anyone who swapped out the vermicelli for bean sprouts. We've always used both vermicelli and bean sprouts together!

You can add a bit of rice vermicelli noodle in your rolls. In Vietnam we often put it in springrolls. kids would easily eat it too in case they arent fond of veggie

Swapping the noodles for sprouts is such a good idea. Holt crap how have I never thought of that before. You could do it with anything like soups, other noodle based dishes, even Thai food style dishes. I’ve used blanched cabbage for soups several times but sprouts would definitely hold up even better and would soak up more of the flavor. See, this is why KZbin knows I need your videos 😂

Beansprouts is optional. Many people cant eat them raw because of the taste. Also, put some grind peanuts into the sauce would add more to the flavor

As someone who grew up eating and making spring rolls, people soaking them until they’re soft is something I never even thought about but makes sense for people to think that’s what they’re suppose to do.

The original dipping doesn’t have any milk sis😂 It should be bean sauce, hoishin or oyster sauce, and peanut butter

There are different versions of peanut sauce. An easy one is just peanut butter mixed with water to thin it out, a dash of soy sauce and a minced clove garlic (optional).
