There is literally a line of broke men waiting to pick up their wives and girlfriends who work the graveyard shift every morning at my healthcare facility. These women are so broke, they share the fancy car with their man. They work extra graveyard shifts to enjoy fancy vacations with their man. They work extra shifts to gamble money with their man. When you ask them what their man does for a living they say, he is on disability, he owns his own business, he is retired, he is a student in school, he takes care of the kids and extended family. It's so sad to see how much these women give up, in order to have a broke man in their lives. Eventually you hear that the broke man was cheating on them, stole their money, divorced them and getting alimony/child support, or straight up ghosted them.

I’ve been a RN for decades and I’m single as a dollar bill. Recently had a guy tell me he can no longer talk to be because of he doesn’t feel like a man even talking to me. He’s on very very hard times (getting groceries from the church, no car insurance, threatening repo, back child support, lost his job, etc). I just wished him well and pivoted. I’m not the Hope House, I’m not a “nurse with a purse” and I won’t be taken advantage of. I’m too busy trying to get these educational, personal and spiritual goals checked off. Sheeeesssssh!

I make my own coffee and cook and bring my lunch. I’ve been a RN for years. I did have a bum fiancé when I was a new nurse and got rid of him. I stopped telling men I was a nurse when I first get to know them. When I tried online dating I had to take that I was a nurse out of my profile. I know several nurses who are the breadwinner and their husbands or boyfriends are stay at home dads or just stay at home period with or without kids. And oh my goodness I know several nurses who are paying alimony too here in California. I do travel a lot but I do it for business (I have several businesses for home decor) and it’s a business expense. I also do not work extra. I have several streams of income now in addition to my part time nurse job.

This was a great video. Social media plays a big part of how some people want to live their lifestyle. Although some nurses may live like that but not all. I believe nurses should go on vacations just like anyone else. Working extra shifts all the time is too much and if you are a nurse eventually invest into your retirement.

No, lies told. Especially about the high-rise living and dusty men. I plan on being the vacationing nurse, but I have a two year goal to either purchase some land and put a small house on it (less than 1300 sq ft) or purchase a small condo under $150,000 so I can offset my traveling expenses.

I had a coworker last week with a Maserati truck ! I know a nurse who lets her deadbeat man drive her car and drop her off, then goes wherever. Also the expensive Figs uniforms. Too expensive and I don’t think the intent of the company was to market to nurses but doctors. The doctors don’t wear them. They wear old scrubs. Great videos and so accurate

I was getting my car serviced and I overhead a man talking about the fact that he drop his wife to work and pick her up. He was on the phone saying she was a nurse and she was so happy to give him money. He goes over to the side chick house all day and then go pick her up from work. I was so disgusted by him. But he’s not lying. I see the nurses outside work waiting for their man to pick them up with their cars.

You are a Leader Ms Tawanda! You make a great wage! Most people live at their wage and or way above their means. Example: Buy a bigger house, a much nicer car, etc. Which uses up that great wage! What should be happening and requires discipline and consistency is living way below your wages and having more money to put into investment vehicles that can then give you much more options like..buying your independence back. Like taking a year off and doing what really stokes your fire. It could be as simple as working around your home for that year. Why, because you have no debt and your investments/savings are taking care of you. I tell my grown boys that only get into debt if that debt can make them money otherwise they become indentured servants to that debt. Its all about total freedom and giving yourself more options. Keep learning and leading.

It's funny when black women step out and get that bag 😂😂. All the black nurses I know have built business including myself and self -loving ourselves. Traveling, making our own schedules, living our best life and why they are counting our money. lol if I want something special financially, I can do numerous things to make a quick buck as a nurse ... Blessed is all it is. 🤑🥰 I say go get you a degree, a trade, start that business and don't limit yourself. People do assume when they see you living a lavish life, you have to be broke or financially uneducated. I lease a BMW every three years. I don't worry about Maintenace, I don't need take my car in they pick it up. My note is less than just about everyone I know with car headaches. I don't need to owe something the depreciates in value and I have to constantly spend on. Everyone reading, please don't believe that the goal is retirement, its freedom.
