I am glad you are uploading videos often again! I've been watching since I was in nursing school. Now as a new nurse I still love all your videos. I think there are enough nurses graduating, at least in my area, but I have yet to meet a new grad that does not hate the working conditions. Most nurses I talk to are looking for a way out of nursing sooner rather than later. Not many experienced nurses and most are tired of bedside.

Spot on! Just got a 20.8% pay raise.... my hospital gave it to all RNs out of nowhere.

Unionization is the way to go. Corporate health care is about the money, not the people. They aren't going to raise wages out of the kindness of their hearts. I think we need to use our power to make healthcare better and our wages keep up with inflation- unionize.

The ones coming from overseas barely speak any English, and only like to work nights because of fear. This is not a long-term solution most of them drop out or open up an adult family home. This is not solve the problem.

where I work it's a steady turn over and flow of foreign nurses and new grads--I think it may decrease pay for all nurses-who ever is the cheapest@@CrosbyTheNomadNurse

So that depends. Nursing gives you more options but increased workload. RT gives you less stress and more routine, and a little less pay (but not much)> Depends on what your plans are

travel nursing contracts are awful

Most are now, unless you do your own contracting. Skip the middle man and you get more of the perks. However, local Per Diem jobs have been a better option.

Until some companies don't pay you at all. They just let you send invoice after invoice without payment. Especially smaller agencies or contractors..
