I am struggling with the critical questions on the A&P 2 exams. The exams are set up as if we were already in a clinical setting and I have not learned any of that stuff yet. How do I study for those types of questions when they are not being taught or in the textbook? I barely passed this 2nd exam and I have 2 more to go.
@NursingSOS2 жыл бұрын
Don't give up, stefanie wright!! You CAN do this!!!😊 Meet with your instructor, ask them to review how you are studying and how you can adjust it to be successful in their course. Ask if there are practice questions you can utilize to help you study. You are so CAPABLE! 😁

ADPIE 1; A- Assessment: made of 2 components ( Collecting data and critical thinking) a) Collecting data has to do with taking vital signs, getting information on patients history,asking patients about their life style, such as their dating habits,their day to day activities,their relationships with others, asking them about their psychological activities, their spiritualities, their patient history,their performing head to toe assessments.Ask them about their life stressers to help them plan their care better. b) Critical thinking: had to do with the nurse thinking about what could be going on and what the nurse needs to assess further, it has to do with the slight changes noticed in patients, how the patient responds to questions and using ur knowledge to determine if something is right or wrong. However this is simply pondering what underlying problem might be going on with a patient at the moment “ holistic approach “ 2- D : Diagnosis; this had to do with the patients responds to what is happening with them, ( impaired physical mobility, stress, anxiety disorder for patients with stroke, asthma) this diagnosis are standardized by NANDA associations ( research on various nursing diagnosis) 3-O ; (Outcome goals nurse hopes to see in the patient, describe how patient feels when they meet the goal) “ comes before the P ( example patient need to practice walking after a surgery, set a goal for patient to walk the 10ft from room to bathroom and back and describe how they react when the goal has been met). 4-P; Planning; this is the nursing intervention, figure out how patient will achieve their goals, process nurses will do to help patient achieve this goals such as nurse educating patient how to ambulate with proper supervision, educate patient on proper use of walker. 5- I: Implementation: this has to do with what the nurse has to do with the interventions made during the planning phase such as showing them how to ambulate, safety and how to do everything from the previous steps. 6-E: Evaluate: this is a reassessment of patient to see what progress they are making and what needs to be modified in their treatment plan process ( care plan ). 😊
