Nick I noticed that you don’t ‘downplay’ your English when talking to Indonesians, which is perfect, I respect that a lot. Why does this matter in my opinion it shows that you view Indonesians (or other non-english speakers) as equal. Because sometimes it bothers me when other foreigners downplay it too much thinking our people are not that well-spoken enough to talk English. From what I see, it could actually encourages Indonesians to learn and improve the language overtime. You’re authentic, Nick, to say the least. Love!

The people a bit rough but kind. Oh my gosh that island is beautiful and There's a lot of nutmeg and very green. The ruins a bit sad but I can imagine how this island is very important to the Dutch government at that time. And I think long time ago many of Dutch house there and the fortress is massive but unfortunately we can't see it because I can imagine that's some of islanders for time to time remove the stones and take some of the lands around the island to build their home after the independent or after the Dutch left the island. Nick why you not ask them to show you the fruit with the 🐜 around it, maybe when you see strange fruit you ask them whether they can show or open it for you ,we want to know too. Oh yeah "fanili" is vanilla in English. Salam buat orang Maluku tunjukan apa saja yg ada di sana, tempat kalian sangat indah sekali
