Nutrients and it's classification

hello friends in this video we will discuss about nutrition and its classification.
nutrition: the process of providing food that is necessary for health and growth of an individual.
nutrients: organic and inorganic component of food are called nutrients.
nutrients are of two types
1. macronutrients also known as proximate principles of food.
nutrients that are needed in large amount are micronutrients. it includes carbohydrate, protein and fats.
2. micronutrients need in small amount in body.
it includes vitamins and minerals.
6 classes of nutrients needed by human body.
1. carbohydrate
2. protein
3. fat
4. vitamins
5. minerals
6. water
classification of nutrients
1. based on source of origin
animal sources include milk meat and fish cheese etc. and vegetable sources include serial pulses green leafy vegetable
2.based on chemical nature
carbohydrate protein vitamin fat and mineral
3. based on function
energy giving food : carbohydrate and fat
protective food: vitamins and minerals
bodybuilding food and repairing food: protein..
