This is a great video. I have not taken the breath test. However, my gastroenterologist is pretty sure I have SIBO. I was going to take the test but then I decided against it. I started doing probiotics that supported my gut microbiome. I have eliminated a lot of the SIBO intolerance foods. My dr told me to do digestive enzymes, probiotics and FodMap. ( I think). I started researching and I was doing the rice diet and that caused major diarrhea. I stopped doing that and started researching. I took out the rice as it was a trigger and pistachios! Things started to improve except the gas. The gas was getting worse. I started getting so much pain. I gained so much weight and had so much bloating! Then I had an ovarian cyst, my thyroid went full hypothyroid, blood pressure was getting higher, cholesterol high, degenerative joint disease, extreme bone pain in my hips and pelvis. I found out I have an aortic aneurysm, my hormones are crazy, my ovarian cyst is finally starting to resolve, I had a cT scan and ultrasound of liver/gallbladder. This was my turning point. I started doing the carnivore diet after my CT scan. I had a 2.5 lesion on my liver, my gall bladder was a ball. I was so sick the day I had my CT scan I could not drink or eat even the next day. Finally I was able to eat and I decided to do high fat carnivore. My kidney and liver enzymes were off the chart! They are normalizing now. I am doing a high fat carnivore and still cheat. However, I noticed I feel a lot better with red meat! I researched L-Carnitine🤯🤯🤯 the benefits are amazing. I was going to get my food sensitivities done but I postponed it until June. I am focusing on how I respond to food. For the time being I need high red meat and fat. I had great response to the liver/gallbladder flush. I removed a ton of bacteria, fungus etc. yes I know what it looks like. It was shocking! Honestly I think this is what people need to do for SIBO. I will do another one next week. I am not losing a lot of weight on carnivore because my body is adjusting. My bloating is going down a little bit. Most importantly my gall bladder after taking ox bile, eating pineapple, papaya and kiwi, high fats before meal immediately help my gallbladder squeeze resolving my pale stools. Once I knew that it was squeezing I knew it was safe to do the gallbladder flush. I did not use Epsom salt one. I did lemon and olive oil mixed in my vitamix ( it makes a huge difference). I am starting to do 16 hour fasting. Last night was my first one. I do get nauseated due to liver enzymes still being normal high. I do take magnesium, potassium and sodium daily. I also take D3 and k2. I stopped eating the fruit and ox bile for now. My stools are darker. I know my gallbladder is functioning. I know my liver needs fasting. It is great you did this video. I honestly do not know if our bodies are not suppose to have carbs in general or we just over do it. However I am sold on the food being more toxic now more than every thanks to the chemicals being used. Our good is not as pure as it once was. I battled hearing Dr. Gundry say veggies are toxins. It took me years to say maybe he is right. I wasn’t having any symptoms at that point except high blood pressure that did not go away with weight loss and working out! I actually started doing the rice diet and that is when I really started having problems! Diarrhea for 40 days! All hell broke loose in my world. I will say from experience, the liver gallbladder flush removed so much fungus, bacteria, stones, and sludge it was not funny. I know I need to do another one because I am sure my gall bladder is filled again. If you have gall stones you have liver stones! They could only see the tail of my pancreas. They said it was full of gas. Well that explained why I was so gassy! Was it gas? All I know is the funky stuff I removed was not something I ate! It was stuff I was eating that was feeding it! It was 2 huge blobs! That didn’t include all the other stuff I removed. It is nice seeing people trying to help people. I honestly feel I need to do probiotics but dairy does cause gas. I am going to add in fermented veggies after my next liver gallbladder cleanse. Iodine also helps. Regardless if you are low thyroid or not. It helps keep organisms under control. I also drink baking soda on an empty stomach. After my next blood work I might lower it to every other day or 2times a week. This week I am adding in 16 hours of fasting to let my liver heal. Hopefully get out the rest of the SIBO causing organisms out. I am doing my one stick of butter a day! Making sure I get lots of red meat in. This week I will try not to drink Gingerale . Water does not go down very well all the time. I do know Coca-Cola really feeds the SIBO organisms. I do think this will be the week my weight loss starts to happen. I am losing fat. I know I have gained muscle. I am sure I am filling in my cells with good fat! Butter boobs! 🎉🍾🎉🤣😂

Oh my goodness, I would love to know the answer to this! I thought carnivore was excellent for SIBO. I’ve transitioned into eating far fewer veggies, but have a hard time going strict Carnivore and giving up the keto approved sweeteners(for coffee and fat bombs for example). I have never felt the increased energy that so many talk about and wonder if I need extra help with supplements for gut healing before feeling my best in the keto carnivore world. I was diagnosed with SIBO about 5 or 6 yrs ago so not sure if I still have it.

I have tried upping my protein and decreased my fat which is making me feel a little better too. I was at 80% fat and have decreased to 70% fat. Have you found supplements to help you? I've tried gall bladder support from Dr Berg, hcl and digestive enzymes. The digestive enzymes are the only thing that has helped so far. They actually make me feel full and satiated and I think I'm sleeping better. I've only been taking the enzymes for a week now. I thought that, but it probably doesn't matter what the answer is. If the SIBO came back with or without a diet change, that's still par for the course with a bad case of SIBO. I eat bacon almost every day with no issues. The carbs are negligible.

Did this approach work out for you?

@@KIke190JRF well I started to feel better on the carnivore diet. I went on it for a month the only problem was that I was totally constipated and I couldn't go to the bathroom. So I ended up quitting, but I'm going to try again and take miralax see if that helps. I think eventually it would have got rid of my sibo cuz I was feeling better
@KIke190JRF2 жыл бұрын
@@easygoingguy but have you been tested for sibo? Is it methane or hydrogen type? The elemental diet didn't bring the levels down even by a little bit? I never got tested for sibo but my symptoms are abdominal distention(24/7), shortness of breath and constipation

What if you have SIBO from PPI's from a hiatal hernia, which if we re honest is equally as incurable as SIBO

Overall I enjoyed the conversation... but I feel like he dodged a lot of the questions you asked and didn't answer them directly but rather talked about something else. Kind of weird, maybe it was a language barrier thing?

I was diagnosed with SIBO through a breath test about 5 yrs ago, was treated with antibiotics and was wondering if there is a way to test to find out if I have it again without having to go to a GI doctor?

Do you look pregnant? Usually that's a tell tale sign of SIBO.

@@Sarahizahhsum hmmm, not sure how to answer that. 🤔 I definitely have a pooch in my belly. 😂

A breath test you can order online, though not cheap will tell you if the Sibo is back

You can purchase the marble device. It tracks the hydrogen and methane in your stomach. Just breath in it and it will tell you the percentage of both gases

I have read the study and I have to say I am disappointed. Using the current consensus guidelines, 3 breath test remain positive for methane after carnivore intervention. It seems effective for hydrogen SIBO but not for methane. 2 patients even experienced elevations of baseline methane levels after carnivore diet.
@KIke190JRF2 жыл бұрын
Methane was already low in all patients before treatment( they didn't have a problem with methane gas sibo). That's why it didn't showed a huge difference. It was inside the acceptable range for normal bacteria presence since the beginning.

We linked to the study in the show notes. It has all the patients in the study.
