Recovered cancer patient here, these women piss me off. I agree that Brett is right. You can be a guy without hair and it's one thing, but if you're a woman without hair, it has a completely different connotation. I was treated very differently when I had no hair, even by well meaning people. It's a very fast way to "other" a woman and it makes it basically impossible to hide that you're going through something privately. Thankfully I'm in full remission and my hair has started to come back. I am never cutting my hair short for the rest of my life. I'm very happy to have it back and it means a lot to me. I would never cut it off for such a superficial reason.
