Doflamingo is my favorite antagonist of all time. A great example of a well written villain who has a good backstory which justifies his own twisted objectives and we see his effort into becoming who he was when Luffy met him, slowly making connections through the underworld and "negotiating" with the celestial dragons and establishing his status as a shichibukai and also becoming the king of an entire kingdom. All these points are cool and all but what really sold him for me was that he wears a fuckin pink boa scarf and still looked badass as fuck.

Seriously, from the big players it's almost every single one: Kakashi, Naruto, Sasuke, Itachi, Gaara, Might Guy, Pain (more like general trust issues I guess, but this counts technically?), Madara, Indra, the fucking Nine-Tails Fox, Tsunade, Haku, Sasori... The only ones that really fall out of line are the Kage (obviously; they're side characters), Sakura - cuz I honestly know jack shit about her lore -, Team 10 (in Shippuden at least) and a handful of characters that are only really mentioned for a couple of episodes. Seriously, how the hell did I never notice this before?!

I think the hate against Endeavor is much more warranted than Shigaraki or All for One. You’d expect villains to do bad things, so no one really bats an eye at those sorts of characters causing wanton destruction. You *don’t* expect the second-best hero in the world to be an abusive wreck. Osamu Tezuka is the king of writing daddy issues. Not only do we have Dororo, but you also have Astro Boy which not only is one of the progenitors of the trope but does a great job in framing the major theme of that series. Black Jack is also a great character with daddy issues, though mainly because it furthered the relationship between him and his mother who was the catalyst why he became who he is.

Love how Deku doesnt have a dad..... and doesn't have daddy issues either. It's refreshing! Sure, All Might was his substitute dad in spirit, but his dad is practically never brought up as a detriment to his life. Heck, he thinks of Todoroki as the one with the tragic backstory after he's informed of it.

Rewatching this i can say ur Kakashi video legit changed my life. And two for the longest time i wouldnt watch one peice cuz welllll... me and a friend battle over fairytail and one peice.
