I think the real game-changer for AI and robots isn’t just creating the most powerful model, but designing a small, fast, and practical AI. Imagine an AI that doesn’t need high-resolution data but can handle basic images, low-quality video, follow simple instructions, and control robots or even a PC. If we focus on efficiency and adaptability, this type of AI could be affordable and useful for everyone-managing inventory, helping in the kitchen, or just handling daily tasks. Sometimes, the most valuable AI isn’t the biggest one, but the one that fits into everyday life.

Your thinking with traditional logic of what we all currently understand to be present day nature of things. However with this revolutionized disruption, human opportunity would look much different from the current model. being displaced from certain jobs and its sectors allows for other human centered purposes and values to emerge. Think of the shift from cave man days purpose of hunters and gatheres to modern day society ordering food with uber eats from the comfort of your cozy home. Most would agree that transition was in human’s society and our evolution bests interest. Another shift like that is on the brink. What a time to be alive.

While Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, plays a key role in AI due to NVIDIA’s GPU market dominance, his views should not be seen as definitive on the field’s future. NVIDIA’s hardware expertise supports AI infrastructure, but real breakthroughs in AI arise from software, algorithms, and applications, driven by companies like OpenAI and Google DeepMind. While Huang emphasizes computational power, much of AI’s progress depends on software innovations and optimizations that reduce reliance on hardware.

We'll become the Wall E movie. Fat babies taken cared of by robots. Only a small % of service workers will be able to transition into the arts. Without wage labor, a lot of people will face a crisis of existence. What are they living for? Maybe they'll happily enter the matrix and life will be an exciting fake video game. Entertainment and purpose their life can't provide. Only the artist will still have purpose and satisfaction, because AI still doesn't understand context. Which is why you can tell the art it makes is fake. Because no real creative genius would ever create something like that. The devil's in the details and purposeful imperfections. Really depressing thinking about how many billions of people will feel completely useless.

On the contrary, people living in a perfect world could spend more time looking after their physical and mental health when everything is automated. You never know. Nobody gets paid for being average at anything, and if they do, nobody cares about them except people who do, but it all has a short shelf life. Realism while it's a good metric by which to judge a piece of art. In great art the imperfections elevates it. You can take a nice picture of a super model with a camera, it'll be more realistic than any painted picture. But nobody cares.

@@Birdmanul2 You being impressed by something isn't the standard required to get hired at a games studio or at a film set. And if you think you'll be typing in prompts and somehow compete with people that know what they're doing with your AI pet. Dangerously deluded. And that's what's required for the word "replace" to be valid. A guy would have to sit in front of his computer, type in a bunch of prompts and be able to pop out a movie that compares to. Eyes Wide Shut, Amadeus or a Disney renaissance animated movie. Or a video game like Final Fantasy 10, Dark Souls 3 or Lost Odyssey. All those required context, control and understanding that you won't have with a prompt or series of prompts. And that's true of music and writing too. AI art is a false positive and has always been, service work however. Repetitive menial tasks that only require you to memorize a series of instructions. Super easy for an AI when it figures out how to move around without having to rely on prompts for every action. So many people will feel useless and without purpose. I think even Elon Musk talked about it, age of abundance. What will people do. Imagine you're at home every day for 80 years straight and everyone beats you at every creative task. You'll become a fat blob like the people in Wall E. And when does that become a problem? At some point you'll probably have a culling, unless you're really good at creative work you'll be told you're not allowed to have children. The blobs will live out their lives but then die off and we'll be left with AI robots and the greatest creative geniuses on the planet. At some point there might be an organic and AI merging. With the creative power of the geniuses and the computing and memory power of the AIs. A god like species. It's also possible the blobs will live in pods inside a matrix like structure. So they'll not even have to be told to not breed, they'll be breeding in their head but it won't impact reality.

So just enjoy human shit, artistic pursuits, lots of social, sport, dance, sing, cook… fun things with intermittent purpose. No other animal has purpose, they just survive & reproduce. Human workers are most often what is known as "cost centers" to a business-meaning, for a business they are an expense, just like electricity or office space. Every for-profit corporation is driven to lower costs, hence, humanoid robots that can be inexpensively leased and run for pennies a day in electricity would save them trillions and send profits surging. Yes, there is a contradiction here: if no working person has money to buy goods, it is no use to produce goods for them, but that is considered someone else's problem for now. Today it's just a race to eliminate the need to pay humans.
@WhatIsRealAnymore2 ай бұрын
@JohnSmith762A11B well put. It's about greed and money which is just an idea. It's insanity honestly. I believe once robots are extremely efficient at navigating earth then the rich (who owns the businesses) can just trade directly with one another, leaving the common human out the loop and defend their resources from us that will be starving and homeless. I truly believe people are evil when exposed to great power and money. Only a tiny minority have ever been stoic in their approach to power. It's honestly the worst outcome that is already afoot for us

@JohnSmith762A11B let's turn on the logic here. From perspective of energy human are way, way more effective because there is no tech which can spend the energy so effective as human body.
