@@khunshub1846 no the 5060 will be a great card still but keep in mind that people are going to upgrade from their 40 series cards so most likely they will be reduced prices on the better cards so you could go with a 5060 or maybe a 4070 super or whatever you’d probably get more vram & a better card in general

@RANDOM_GUY098 I'll believe the 70% better performance when I see it. The 4060 wasn't a massive improvement from the 3060, so i am somewhat skeptical. Also, the whole point of having a new generation of gpus is to have significant performance increase without having to pay an additional premium. Technology gets better and better, more readily available, and easier to manufacture, so paying a similar price for more power shouldn't be out of the question as new generations of gpus come out.

It's not ridiculous at all when you see their market share. People still blindly by Nvidia and avoid AMD because of the old times when AMD had bad drivers. Even Intel is doing relatively about as good-ish as AMD in terms of GPU market share and they just enteredthe field. That alone speaks volumes about.

Battlemage won't imho, intel is in pretty bad shape at the moment and arrow lake already having instabilities in backstage testing 24hrs before launch won't help unfortunately. They can't lower their prices much with Battlemage so I'd be surprised if they were much cheaper than Alchemist (which was already too expensive for what it was). And with the bigger Battlemage being tipped to compete with the RTX4070 (so probably the 5060ti) it doesn't bode well in terms of value for money I'm afraid.

The only reason I’ve ever bought an NVIDIA GPU is because it came with the gaming. Laptop I wanted. I would never give money to a company that restricts their best AI upscaling to only their brand new cards. AMD has their frame gen and upscaling available for everyone no matter what brand of gpu you own. And you get better Price to Performance.
