I face the coldest storm of my life in this 24h survival challenge. After preparing the animals, I go hunting & fishing for food. This catch & cook has me ice fishing & hunting for quail in the remote wilderness in sub 0 F temperatures...

When did you get dogs?! Good for you!❤. Your “Tica” reminds me a little of my “Lily”. Be careful with dry kibble though. It can cause congestive heart failure in dogs. Some of it seems like healthy food, but really, it’s garbage. I found this raw rabbit and duck food called K-9 Kravings. A little expensive, but I highly recommend it. Anyway, keep on doing what you’re doing brother! Great video as always!😊

Lots of times in the fall I spook up quail ahead of the combine harvester in our corn fields along with lots of rabbits.

You know, it's kinda funny how efficient incandescent bulbs are as heaters. Over 90% of the energy going into an incandescent bulb gets converted to heat while only about 30% of an LED's does. Given that also LED's are rated in "Equivalents" where their true wattage is much lower (for example, a 40 watt equivalent LED light typically is only operating at 5 watts or so), changing out that lightbulb increased the heat output by significantly more than 4x. Probably more like 20x.

I don't diss you, but -30 😂. Stay sometime in Northern Ontario 🇨🇦, where it gets down to -65 with the wind chill for around 4 months of the year. And we would still go hunting for parachuted, rabbit. Manly ice fishing for Perch, walleye & pike. What till you have to drill thow 3 to 4ft of ice.

Don’t use LED’s for heat man! Use Halogen only,A 300-500 watt halogen work light will put out enough heat to keep it at 20-25C,sorry I don’t know the conversion to Fahrenheit off the top of my head.LED are good for lighting only.

Hey if you’re gonna try an extended stay on the ice,make a couple holes close together,and don’t let the fish see you,you’re scaring them away,you know how skittish they are! Before you go ice fishing again go to your local bait shop and ask them for some wax worms, spikes or mousies. It's a smaller worm and you just barely cover the hook and I think you will have better luck catching pan fish. Keep up the good work bro!

Quail are legit better tasting than chicken. I spatchcock mine and then cook them in the oven with a butter lime cilantro baste - i hit it about every 10-15 mins with the baste and it comes out SO DELICIOUS

You have electricity, so why not some actual electric heaters for it in there? They don't really cost a lot and are much safer than a hot light by gas. Baseboard heaters can be set up in about 2 hours and you can do it yourself. Also, yes please more hunt and cook and catch and cook shows!

a trick from an Ice Fisherman here, use a 5 gallon bucket with the cover on to sit. You can also store a bunch of gear in it and keeps it dry. I even got a seat warmer on mine. I started watching your vids and love them keep up the good work.

LED lights don't give off much heat at all. Use an old school incandescent and it'll work much better. They're super cheap too
