Just got home from a skunk trip. Tried crawlers, buzz baits, swimbaits, jigs, and crankbaits. It was allot colder this morning than earlier in the week. It was a just a beautiful way to spend the morning,...that's what I have been telling myself.

This makes me feel a lil better! I got some texas weight creature baits I'm gonna bring out to the deep parts of the lake next time. Heard they might do the trick and never tried them before, we'll see what happens 😀 Sorry about your skunk, I was only saved by that lil dink (which I'm grateful for lol)

I feel this heavy, went out for 5hrs yesterday and rotated through what felt like my entire tacklebox 😂 sadly not a single bite but enjoyed my day off

It’s cool to see you learning to bass fish and sharing it with everyone, there is so much arrogance and know it all big egos in the fishing world these days this is refreshing, another great skill to learn is learning to skip a jig or worm or whatever underneath docks and low hanging trees etc, not only is it a great way to catch more bass, it’s a lot of fun once you get it down pat!!

Thanks! I definitely wanna learn to skip a jig! It should make for an entertaining video too 😀

Nice kayak setup - I have the same one. A bit heavy but I like the stability! My fall fishing has been sparse and I've tried everything, but it's still fun.

The stability definitely makes it worth the weight! I've figured out all the tricks to load and unload and it's not too bad now. I didn't have a cart for the first couple months, those were fun times lol. I keep hearing from people that they are out there killin it. kinda feel like Washington is at a higher difficulty setting right now. Hoping to get it figured out in future videos 😀

@@NWTrailSeries got mine in July - I was in the "same boat" LOL. Difficulty loading it onto Yakima J-Lows on my Honda Passport, so I bought their Sweet Rolls and a couple of kayak rollers for the back window. It's so easy now. Cart is a must. Might try going out one more time - season is winding down here in Ohio but they say its still good for bass.

I've been diggin the weather for sure. Just gotta figure these bass out 😀 Got some ideas for next time, I'm gonna get em

One tip I will tell you, don’t fall into the trap of they should be here cause that’s what the guy on KZbin told me. There really aren’t that many KZbinrs from our area. Our area is such a different animal than the places down south or even in the middle of the country. Learn what our bass do in the PNW. Cause they are different.

@ricolemay2141 I've definitely spent a lot of time watching people down south throwing things and killin it with lures i can't seem to get a bite on. A very good point my friend, I'm just gonna try as many things as I can :D

I spent a few hours on Leland in the rain today. Missed several hits with the wacky worm and caught two small ones on a spinner.

Sounds like the last few times I was up there! I had that lake figured out in the summer, but not anymore.. I caught like a 2lber on a spinnerbait last time I was up there, I've heard some crazy rumors of some giant bass caught up there.

Fall bass is the easiest bass season of all. They’re simple to find, and very willing to bite. It’s even better than spring bass.

@@NWTrailSeries yeah waiting until I have enough saved for all the bells and whistles, minus maybe a fish finder cause I’d like to do it the old fashioned way up until I decide I just have to have one lol. Bank fished for long enough, time to get to the good spots! If you don’t mind me asking, how much did the pedal drive cost you? As much as I would love one, I just can’t find one in my price range. Hoping I come across a steal on Facebook marketplace.
@NWTrailSeries3 ай бұрын
@senordingleberry1877 I got the sportsman 106 pdl. It was $2600. I was looking at the 1k price range, but once I went to look at some.. I Saw this kayak sitting in the back of the shop.. i never had the feeling of wanting something so much. Noticed a payment plan on their site when I got home.. and here we are 😀 I'm certain a good time can be had without a pedal drive, I've adventured down several back water creeks and tributaries. To do that I've had to lift up my pedal drive and rudder. Even with just a paddle it's so much better than being on the bank. Wind though... wind with a paddle is quite possibly the worst thing ever. Having the pedal drive keeps your hands free and you can usually battle the wind easy enough while fishin. Wish ya luck finding somethin!
@senordingleberry18773 ай бұрын
@@NWTrailSeries i appreciate the response! Wind is my biggest factor, I am located in southern OK and the wind gets brutal here sometimes. 2 days ago, 20mph wind with 32mph gusts. So I think financing a pedal drive will be my best option too. lol. Good luck on the fishing journey my man, looking forward to new videos.

I just Googled the name of the lake, and topographical map. There is one for all my local lakes at least.
