I hope this is a help to anyone looking to move during quarantine, or anyone looking to move to Brooklyn, New York period!

*aughhh* I’m 20 an want too move to ny I’m from dc.. I hear people complaining about rent for ny but in dc it’s literally like 2,000 for a 1 bedroom apt so I’m assuming it’s the same or maybe a bit more for ny.. but I be hearing so much bad shit about ny any advice

after living in dc this summer, it seems like nyc might actually be less expensive! crazy! with gentrification in areas like noma and everyone trying to move back into dc itself, rent prices are going up a lot. in nyc you have plenty of neighborhoods of different price ranges that help

Honestly, since the pandemic, rent has dropped pretty dramatically and still hasn't quite bounced back to normal, so if you're thinking about it, JUST DO IT!!!! Sure NY is more expensive than you're average city, but most inner cities are expensive so it really is up to you to decide on your why... why NYC over DC? If NYC is pivotal in your plans/moves/goals/visions for yourself, you'll be happier to have taken the plunge. Just prepare accordingly.
