It’s not the cold, it’s the wind that really gets you! 😂 Maybe I’m imagining it but it seems colder in places like Midtown with lots of tall buildings because the wind blows between the buildings!

East coast cold is more wet/humid so hits differently. I lived in Utah and the cold is dry and much more tolerable!

Wool sweater instead of a hoodie might help, or even better thermal base layer would both keep you warmer whilst out running errands. I love Smartwool brand for their base layer long sleeves.

When it's winter, I layer a cashmere long sleeve and another thin sweater underneath that huge hoodie -- and uniqlo thermals under pants, but it didn't do the trick that day, the wind was just too intense 😅🥶. these are the days I understand why people move to warmer climates haha. I'll look into Smartwool - really intrigued!
